Our new album LOST LEAVES is out today! We are so very excited to share it with you. We feel like it’s our strongest material to date, and we hope you love it as much as we do.

This is a special record in so many ways that it’s difficult to articulate. Everyone goes through hardships, and I am so very thankful for this life I’ve been blessed with, but some of the dark times I’ve been through felt almost impossible to overcome. This collection of songs started to trickle in over some of the toughest moments, and as I finally started to claw out of it, I felt like I had an entirely new lease on life and found myself bursting with more creative energy than ever before. The bulk of the writing process then stretched into back-to-back days on end, often into the wee hours of the night. It was hard to put my guitar down and pare down the amount of lyrics that were pouring out as the drive to finish it set in. It bookends the darkest of nights and welcomes the brightest of lights. At the time I wasn’t sure if we’d ever play live again, so in many ways it’s more layered, intentional, and deceptively complex than anything we’ve done prior. We tried to finish fleshing the songs out as a band and get into the studio as soon as possible to start laying things down while the ink was still wet—teaming up with @noiseeater to capture it, while he navigated our heckling and intensity to help create our best-sounding record to date.

If it resonates we would be so ever appreciative if you can share it with others to help grace as many eardrums as possible.

Lost Leaves, may just be their best work to date.
The band’s fourth true full-length arrives fully realized as the concentrated momentum of a group that has emerged with meaningful narratives that will resonate with so many. Written in its entirety before their previous album had even seen the light of day, the bulk of the material was written in a concentrated burst between October 2022 and January 2023. From there the mission was clear: refine the songs together as a band and capture them while the ink was still wet, to capture catharsis in a bottle.

The resulting album is as cohesive as they come—no skips needed. It plays directly to the band’s strengths while pushing their songwriting into a new realm—even sharper, clearer, and more confident. For a band whose initial run was deep in the heart of the late ‘90s/early 2000s indie/emo scene.

Pre orders for two exclusive vinyl varinats are live now.

Our new record Lost Leaves has been out for a month! Thank you so very much for all the kind words, PMs, and a mass amount of spins! Been so slammed I haven’t had much time to frame these bad boys up, let alone all the social buuullsheeeaat.

Alright back to some stash, keeping it in the family, I raided some stuff from Bill our bass player’s living room and I think you’ll appreciate it! We’ve got a nice little trio of #Fugazi 2nd release, 3-songs, @helmet_music Unsung, and @jawboxofficial first 7”, Tools & Chrome—all original pressings.

Ok back to the boxes in the garage… we’ve got some candids of us, @pop_unknown, and #bentonfalls. This would have been a show we played together on our west coast tour with Pop Unknown August of 2001. The show was at a place called The Coffee Gallery in SF. Or maybe it was The Lost and Found. @the.velvet.teen was also on the bill opening up. There was probably about 10, maybe 15 people there tops, outside of the bands. Apparently we didn’t think of taking photos of the bands actually playing, and just loading out. See ya next round…

Another lil’ taste from the vault… we’ve got some tunes on the heavier side of our spectrum (don’t worry, we’ve still got plenty of wuss rock in us if that’s your boat floater of choice) stacked up. The directive in these cases, was to write some rare stuff in drop D, not get too fussy and make sure it’d rip live. Trust me, you’ll like ‘em. Have to make videos of these anyhow as reference for the boys to make it quicker, which is a pretty big pain in the ass when you have to remember any little stuff when the demos already a few years old.
