We are so excited to officially announce our summer term lineup at bluelight academy! Within this “year of generative conflict” we are taking the opportunity to focus on Transformative Justice (TJ) with a full season of programming built around one question: what does it actually look like to practice TJ — not just believe in it? Whether you're brand new to TJ or you've been practicing for years, there's a place for you in our summer of Transformative Justice.

💭 As an abolitionist collective, we’ve been hearing a lot about community cases of anti-Blackness and the ways that identity politics can be used to pull us further away from each other rather than coming together. So, how can we be grounded in multiracial coalition building when we’re doing abolitionist work that is also not leaning into deference politics?

🔜 Join us live on July 31st (or sign up to get access to the recording) for a 90 minute webinar on: Unpacking Anti-Blackness + Interrupting Deference as Under-Accountability. (🔗 in b!o) by @timetospringup

💭 This webinar is grounded in insights from psychoanalysis & liberation psychology about what cancellation serves in our psyches, and about what needs scapegoating meets in our communities. With a clinically-informed lens for working through cancellation dynamics at the group and individual level, this webinar also explores alternatives to cancellation that are grounded in repair, accountability, and healing. by @timetospringup
