The reason why I want to build these women’s homes is because I was once a survivor of domestic violence so I know firsthand what it looks like to be both saved and failed by systems in place for support.

At 5 years old I was put into a children’s home in London whilst my mum left and moved to Rugby to escape my abusive father. Thankfully she had somewhere to go in Rugby and a year later she collected me from the home to come and live with her.

Twenty years ago I was in an abusive relationship and ended up having a nervous breakdown. I also had to leave London and I moved to Rugby to live with my mum. I had somewhere to go but not everyone has that option.

As you can see there’s a cycle. Well the cycle stops with me! If I can help the cycle stop for even one woman then my job is done.

I'm throwing it back to my @lorealparis Revitalift campaign! It was such a blessing to be involved in this. Who would've thought, little old Nat from Rugby was chosen as a face for L'Oreal! You can't tell me that dreams don't come true.🙌🏽

It's never too late to make your dreams come true. It can happen whether you're in your 40s, 50s or 60s but you're going to have to stop letting fear and procrastination derail you from your purpose. I do everything afraid.

2020 was a frustrating year for me because I was on my way to the US to be connected with the likes of Oprah, Denzel Washington, Tyler Perry, TD Jakes and more. Damn, you Covid! It's ok though, there's a time and a season for everything and nothing happens before it's time.

Am I afraid when I'm surrounded by these people? Sure, but you know what, God will place you exactly where you need to be and give you the strength to do what you need to do. So I'm here to tell you it's time to take action! We're not getting any younger.

The Next Step program is not for those who want to work solely on their mindset. Yes I will touch on that but we're not going to park there for too long. This program is for women who need less information and more implementation.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a doer. When I get an idea I need to move on it. There's excitement in movement. There's fear in stagnation. We're not made to stay still. We're made to move! So let's get to it ladies. With our without you I'm moving but I would love to take you where I'm going.

If you would've told me at the beginning of the year that I would be meeting @michelleobama I would've said you were crazy! However, it has always been a dream of mine to meet this amazing woman who epitomises love, light, style and grace.
.
She is everything you would hope she would be (and more!). I can not even begin to tell you how blessed I feel to have even been in her presence.
.
I'll share more in a blog post and video but for now make sure you buy her book 'Becoming' which talks about her journey from South Side Chicago to The White House. It's a story that will inspire and motivate you and I want to encourage you and let you know that all things are possible if you just keep believing and have faith.

Last week I had the privilege of being at Anfield for the launch of Liverpool FC Foundation’s new Beyond the Goalposts initiative, and what a day it was.

I was honoured to be invited onto the panel alongside some incredible women Ngunan Adamu, Roopa Vyas, Natasha Dowie, Jess Clarke and Phoebe Schecter to talk about something that means so much to me – creating more opportunities for black women and girls in football and making sure they feel like they truly belong.

There were some powerful conversations around representation, confidence, access and belonging.

The research shared by Women in Sport was eye-opening. Black girls have some of the biggest sporting dreams, yet they’re still the least physically active group because of barriers that shouldn’t exist in 2026. The problem isn’t that they’re hard to reach. It’s that the system hasn’t been reaching them.

As someone who’s attempted various different sports as a kid, and now leads women and girl’s football at Banbury United, this really resonated with me. I know first-hand how important it is to see people who look like you, to feel welcomed, and to know there’s a place for you in the game.

That’s why initiatives like Beyond the Goalposts matter so much. They’re about far more than football. They’re about confidence, community, opportunity and making sure every girl knows she belongs.

A huge thank you to Dionne Johnson, LFC Foundation and everyone involved for creating such an important programme and for inviting me to be part of the conversation. I feel truly honoured, and it was lovely to meet Jenny Simmons and some of the Liverpool players!

Now comes the important bit - turning these conversations into action and finding a way to also encourage black women and girls in Banbury and beyond.

I had a great time in London recently at the Virgin Unite event.

It was fantastic to meet inspiring new people and explore exciting opportunities for the future. There’s always something special about being in a room full of people who genuinely want to make a positive difference in the world.

My relationship with @virginunite goes back more than 15 years, and it’s been a privilege to support and witness the incredible work they do across communities around the globe. Throughout that journey, I’ve met some truly remarkable people whose passion, generosity and commitment to creating change continue to inspire me.

One of the most memorable experiences was having the opportunity to go on safari with Sir Richard Branson staying at his property Ulusaba in South Africa. It was an absolute blast - despite the 4am wakeup calls!

A genuinely life-changing experience. Not just because of the stunning surroundings and incredible wildlife, but because of the amazing heart-centred people I met there. The conversations, connections and friendships formed during that time are something I’ll never forget.

Those experiences remind me how powerful it can be when people come together with a shared purpose and a desire to create positive impact. Another reminder that when the right people are in the room, great things happen.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in such a brilliant evening. I’m excited to see what the future holds and look forward to working together again. Let’s continue where we left off! by @timewithnatalie

Had a really enjoyable evening at the Southern League Presentation Awards last night.

It was great to meet some new people and celebrate the achievements of clubs, players and volunteers across the league, and as for the entertainment, it was completely unexpected but absolutely hilarious!

One thing I couldn’t help but notice though was the lack of diversity in the room. As someone who is passionate about creating more opportunities and representation in football, it did stand out. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional, but it does show that we still have some way to go before the game truly reflects the diversity of the communities it serves. That said, it didn’t take away from what was a really positive evening.

If I’m honest, when I was first approached about attending I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go, but football has an incredible ability to bring people together, and events like this are a great reminder of the amazing people who give their time, energy and passion to the game.

I’m really glad I accepted the invitation and went with my fellow Board Director, Martin. I had a fun time on table 23 with the Westbury United crew - they were a blast!

So I drove all the way to Cardiff and back for 12 hours for a night out! What was I thinking?! 🤪

It was great to catch up with one of my favourite people at Arsenal @markfranksdj during the celebrations.

If you’ve ever been around The Armoury on a match day, you already know the vibes are unmatched. Top tunes, great energy and always a warm welcome. Mark is genuinely one of the nicest people I know and someone who truly loves what he does - and you can feel that every single match day.

In my previous post I spoke about the culture behind Arsenal’s success, and honestly, this is part of it. Arsenal hire good people. Genuine, heartfelt people who care about the fans, the atmosphere and the club. Because football clubs are built by more than players and managers. It’s the people behind the badge that make a club special.

And anyone who’s an @arsenal fan knows that Arsenal LOVE dropping merch - regularly! My bank account is struggling! But seriously, one of the reasons they sell so much is because the whole match day experience around The Armoury is incredible. It’s something we’re looking to emulate, albeit on a much smaller scale, @banburyunitedwomen.

If you can’t get into the stadium for the game, just head down to The Armoury, soak up the atmosphere, listen to the bangers and maybe grab yourself some new merch while you’re there.

What a couple of weeks it’s been supporting my beloved @arsenal. ❤️

Premier League Champions for the first time in 22 years. So close to European glory, losing the Champions League final only on penalties. Then finishing it all with a parade that felt more like a carnival than a football celebration! The energy, unity and passion were unforgettable.

Moments like these always make me reflect on where this love for Arsenal began nearly 35 years ago.

Whilst living in Rugby, I met a boy from London who convinced me to go to a friendly at Highbury against Inter Milan. That one match changed everything. From that moment on, Arsenal became part of my identity.

Years later, I found myself stewarding at Highbury for 8 years during the iconic Henry, Vieira, Bergkamp era under Wenger. A young girl born near Wembley Stadium, suddenly working around football royalty every week.

But what stood out most wasn’t just the football. It was the humility, kindness and respect shown by everyone at the club, regardless of status or position. That made me fall even more in love with Arsenal.

Little did I know then that football would become such a huge part of my own story too.

From stewarding at Arsenal to becoming the only Black female Board Director of a football club in this country from Arsenal all the way down. I’m truly humbled by the journey.

And what made this week even more special was sharing it with my daughter. She didn’t exactly start off as a football fan but I think the tide is definitely turning now. 😂

What Arsenal have built goes far beyond football. They’ve built identity. Culture. Belonging. A global family.

As I continue building @banburyunitedwomen, I can only hope to emulate even a tiny piece of what Arsenal have created over the years - a team and community that brings people together, makes people believe and inspires people to #PlayBrave.

And maybe one day I’ll get the opportunity to collaborate with my beloved club to continue empowering men and women through football and showing people what’s possible when you dream big, stay patient and give everything you’ve got.
