My new song and video, “Home”

The devastation is still widespread, and the clean up and rebuild process is still underway to this day and will continue for quite some time. This song and video are dedicated to all who were affected by the multiple fires that spread across Los Angeles in January 2025.

Update on my situation - My Dad’s house is inside the Palisades Fire evacuation zone. My brother and I stayed with our dad and have been here since it all started Tuesday. We never left. We hosed down our property as well as our neighbor’s properties. Everyone around us evacuated while we continued to water everything in sight. We were all alone in our particular area. My brother was on the roof spraying embers out of the sky and hosing everything in all directions while I expanded our perimeter hosing down neighbors’ yards. I was hopping fences, turning on hoses, propping them up as sprinklers, and then going to the next yard and doing the same. The fire came as close as 5 houses away, but I attacked it and extinguished it immediately. We fought for 30 plus hours with no sleep putting out any and all spot fires as they arose. We saved our house and our neighborhood from burning down. It’s the single biggest adrenaline dump and gnarliest experience of my life. The following days, we have been on constant patrol extinguishing smoldering fires and kicking out looters. It’s the Wild West out here right now. We have no power and no reception unless I trek for it. The best part is our community has really stepped up and has been helping with clean up and actively checking on each other while kicking out nefarious individuals who don’t belong. We were blessed with a supply drop of food, water, and fuel for our generator to power our fridge and TV for news. We are safe, we are okay, and we are remaining vigilant. 💪 🙏 by @timhayn

Last Friday my friend, Ben Brinckerhoff, lost everything in an explosion at his house. His companion of 10 years, Sierra, one of his dogs and a cat were killed in the ensuing fire. Ben was left with just the clothes he was wearing, no money, no ID, no wallet, no car and his cherished drum set was also gone. One of his dogs survived, and he is hoping to reunite soon. Please consider donating to help him start over and rebuild his life.
