To play such a prolific unnamed Iowan teenage boy has been oh so silly and rewarding, but to play it with a bunch of other loving and silly people has been even more rewarding.

Who am I kidding: his name was Davey Boy Squires 🙆🏻‍♂️ and he had an extensive background. Some nights he would rather build towers or telescopes out of library books instead of reading them; most nights he was a menace and laughed at others for being the sons of bums and boobies; but every night he somehow magically knew how to dance, lift, barrel, turn, cartwheel, somersault, and split jump whilst simultaneously not knowing how to hold a saxophone; all because a tall man in a white and red suit told him too. Now talk about mental gymnastics - that is some complex character work right there.

Special thanks to my gorgeous dance partner @miranda_n_jones 🕺🏻💃🏼 for trusting that I would never drop you (no matter how tired we both were). To @david.grin for putting me through a very entertaining HITT workout every night. To @theevanpappas for nurturing the silliness. And to @jwb33 for trusting that I wouldn’t create unwanted dissonance when I went on for the barbershop quartet. Yes, Davey Boy Squires also had the superpower to transform into his father at the drop of a hat (this River City place is spooky).

little Tim would be beaming more than I am now: seeing me graduate with a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts 🥳 to the people who helped me get here, I will never forget what you have done for me! to the people I met along the way who welcomed me into their lives, their families and their homes, you are so special to me and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together 🫶🏻 and to slightly adapt what my freshman Voice & Speech teacher once said, “live with dignity, because you are an actor, and you should.” And so I shall. @nyuniversity @nyutisch taken in New York City by @timhotchkin
