I am kind of at a loss right now. We met in March of 2012. We became fast friends and damn near inseparable for years after that. You called me when you wanted to start Cadillac Kings in Las Vegas. We worked on stuff together, we built a club… over the years we drifted apart but in the end we only wanted what was best. I watched you grow into a force that couldn’t be stopped, bigger than life! I watched you care for Jodi when she needed you, and I watched you spend every moment with Liv as she grew up with a dad that was relentless in seeing her succeed, but most importantly knowing that she is loved! In the end we came back together as friends. I’m grateful that we did. This is the last photo of us together. Chadillac Vegas, you weren’t always the easiest to love, but I love you man! The world just won’t be the same without you. Godspeed my friend. May heaven’s gates open wide to accept your giant personality… with your mom’s open arms awaiting you.May God bless your family during these times. We will always be there for them. The course running 76 miles in total. 5 stops 5 card draw at each stop. I am home. Thank you all so much for the calls, texts, messages, etc… it means the world to not only me, but to my family. All I ask from all of you is listen to your body. If something seems off, go get it looked at.Monday I felt a thing in my chest, nothing major, kind of like a muscle spasm… but struggled with words later in the day. It was enough of a concern to note it and mention it to my wife that night.Tuesday, it was still there, but more frequent and now came with new friends like light headedness and shortness of breath and aching in my left arm. I took heart rythem checks on my watch and multiple times had some wild waves in the screen. I mentioned this to my boss and was sent home to get looked at.By the time I arrived at the hospital I had clammy sweats and now the anxiety was building. Since I listened to myself and got the hospital I was able to be treated before it became a major cardiac event or stroke. Another night at home may have resulted in a different outcome. The ultimate cause was hypertension. So please… listen to the changes in your body. Take note, act on it… As men we often say “I’m fine” and that thinking has led me to attend a lot of funerals and celebrations of life. Manning up means living for your family, not being the tough guy. Again, I can’t begin to say thank you to everyone right now. It’s been an adventure and today is day one of making some changes so this doesn’t happen again. by @timjohnsonimagery
