Zouk Nightclub Las Vegas is hard to capture in a vertical frame - here’s the wide shot that shows the full room, the lights, the crowd. This is what it felt like from the booth. ✨🎧🎷

On this day 17 years ago in 2006, the dance movie Step Up was released in theaters. It was the number two movie in the country that weekend, second only to Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Thanks Will Ferrell. I had the great fortune of playing the injured and not-good-at hip hop ballet dancer Andrew. This was my first major acting role and one I landed just a couple weeks after moving to LA - an experience I’ll never forgot! I’m still not great at hip hop dancing. Note to young Tim: well done kid, all those years in the frozen Alaska ballet studio opened doors you could not have imagined at that time.

Ever since growing up a soccer playing kid in Alaska, the World Cup has always held a special place in my heart. It’s my favorite sporting event, hands down, and I’ve always made it a point to watch. So when the chance came to DJ some of the games at the stadiums, I was quite surprised and elated. 🤯

I got to DJ and play sax in the hospitality suites of 6 matches across SoFi Stadium in LA, Levi’s Stadium in the Bay Area, and Lumen Field in Seattle, including 3 USA games. I’ve never felt energy like that in a stadium. The noise was almost overwhelming but in a beautiful way, and I loved seeing the traveling fans support their teams. The Senegal fans dancing in particular sticks out as a memory. 🇸🇳💃🏻

It was also really sweet to meet the other DJs and performers, who all had a special sauce and were gracious.

I experienced a couple moments in the stadium where it was hard not to feel emotional, especially at that first USA match, when I got to FaceTime in my dad, my mom, and my brothers to share the energy together for a minute - just realizing this crazy, winding journey as a performer and musician had opened the door to witnessing these games in person. As a soccer fan, it’s something I’ll never forget, and a life goallllll. ⚽️😜

I hope these photos convey a touch of magic it was to be a part of this. I even went to the Adidas store to make sure I had a World Cup ready outfit. 🌎⚽️🎧🎷

Tiny planet POV: Six nights as guest DJ saxophonist aboard the Ilma, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. San Juan to St. Barths to the British Virgin Islands. Took a few days to find my sea legs - funny thing is, I never felt it while performing. Only after the music stopped. 🛳️🎧🎷

I got to DJ and play sax for my first Vegas club set - a private event at Zouk Nightclub.

15 years since I started DJing and producing music and it’s been anything but a straight line - from “discovering” Ableton on a fire breathing dragon art car at Burning Man, to meeting my first mentor on Craigslist, to a comedy collective chapter, to that first Hawaiian sunset with my DJ band buds, to Ableton Klub nights, and everything in between.

This moment isn’t an arrival, but it is another night that sticks out in this carousel of memories.

Felt really good to step onto a stage like this with big lights, big sound. Took me a few hours to come down from that set.

Bunheads for life. 🩰 Great to be back in class with @inkberrymedia . Felt like the old days, just with less flexibility, fewer leaps, and more combo brain fog. Arches still questionable. But grateful ballet, my first creative love, is still part of my life. 🥺

My mom recently had a fall and broke both of her ankles. I’ve set up a GoFundMe that explains the situation in more detail. Any contribution, or even sharing this post, would mean so much. Thank you for supporting my mom during this difficult time. GoFundMe link in bio. ❤️‍🩹💜

Mamdani wins, and I got featured today in the NY Times Style section for my DJ/sax work! Wow, NY bringing the heat. What’s that feeling? Hope. 💜 Side note: life goal I didn’t even know I had, unlocked - mentioned next to Kenny G in an article. Life is strange. 🎧🎷🌅
