When people ask me what is my most favourite and most proudest moment of Timmy’s career, I won’t say it was him leaving home at a young age or completing a university degree in a foreign language… I wouldn’t even say it was when he debuted for Japan or had an amazing World Cup campaign…It wouldn’t even be when he reached 100 games in Japan or how he’s still playing at 35 years old 😂 …. It’s this moment right here!!!

There are no words that can truly express how proud I am of you, Timmy! 🥹 To stand in front of a nation and challenge a powerful corporation, to fight for what you believe in takes extraordinary courage. Not everyone is willing to put themselves in the firing line for a cause bigger than themselves.

People doubted you. They threw shade, laughed, and said you were wasting your time. But none of that matters. Because this was never about seeking approval, it was about standing up for what you believe is right, even when it’s difficult.

No matter the outcome, you chose courage over comfort, conviction over silence, and that’s something no one can ever take away from you and the boys fighting alongside you.

今年1月以降、リーグとの話し合いはずっとこんな感じです。
私たちの要望はほとんど取り合ってもらえず、明確な説明もないまま進められています。彼らはこのまま時間が経てば、いずれ人々はこの問題について話さなくなると思っているようです。

でも、私たちはここにいます。
10代または20代初めから日本に来て、日本で「育成」され、ラグビーの「普及」に尽力してきた選手達です。
毎日5部練習の日々にも耐え、家族との時間も我慢し、桜のジャージを着て、日本のために、日本代表が強くなるために歯を食いしばって戦ってきた選手たちもいます。または現在も日本代表として日本のために戦っている選手もいます。
日本人選手の育成はもちろん大切です。我々もルール変更自体に反対しているわけではありません。
ただ、出自が日本である日本人選手達や、義務教育6年間を過ごした選手達と、今まで同じ権利を持っていた我々選手達にも引き続き同じ権利を与えて欲しいだけなのです。

我々は「One Team」という言葉を信じます。リーグワンに所属する全ての選手、スタッフ、サポーターが「One for all, All for one」であることを信じます。
