Warning: film quality is that of a potato.

A song I wrote back in 21 called “Memories”. Recorded this in 23. Some songs hurt more than others. This is one of those. It seems to sum up a big struggle in my life.

I had a best friend in my life for a number of years. One of those you’d do anything for. Heck I drive across the country and move mountains just to be with her and get a chance to dance in a bar with her or sit around a table with her and her messed up yet beautiful family. To sum it up, I fell in love with this friend and we got too close one night after drinking with her old high school friends. It ruined everything we had.

I’ll work every day and every year to forgive myself for letting alcohol and lust get the best of me that night. I know God has forgiven me. And I know His Son died for me to wash this away. But it takes time and prayers to heal. I’m certainly getting better but it still stings to listen to this one. Must be a good song then haha.

Moral of the story: crap happens. We will sin and fall. But God loves us, each and every one of you more than you can imagine. When you’re going through a hard time, know you’re not alone. I’ve been in the trenches and I know how to get out. Reach for His hand. by @timlnelson34
