My 2025 on YouTube.

After I started uploading again in late 2024 following a long hiatus, I wanted to up my game in 2025 and just see where it took me.

For a while I’ve been targeting 10,000 subscribers by the end of the year. Even though we just missed that marker I’m still buzzing with these numbers!

I mean, what does 17.5 years watch time even mean 🤯

Anyway, here’s to 2026 being even better. I can’t wait to show you what’s in the pipeline. 👀 let’s go

Yep, you read that right. I commentated on an actual bike race.

So let me ask you, what do Remco Evenepoel, Frank Vandenbroucke, Wilco Kelderman and Lorenzo Finn all have in common?

Well, as juniors, they all won Aubel-Thimister-Stavelot. So when I got the call up to commentate on the 2026 edition with @safestream.live⁠, I knew we’d be watching some of the most talented bike riders in the world.

And to say the race ended in dramatic fashion would be an understatement. 😅

Soen Le Pann, Seff Van Kerckhove and Karl Herzog proved to be the strongest on a hilly course which featured the infamous Côte de Stockeu. In the GC, Le Pann held a 20 second lead on teammate Van Kerckhove and 31 seconds on Herzog. So, wearing the yellow jersey, the Frenchman looked set to join Remco and co as winner of the race.

That was... until the final 2 kilometres, where Le Pann suffered a mechanical on the descent to the finish line in Stavelot. It would have been the cruelest way to lose the race.

Thankfully for Soen, he recovered in time to retain the race lead, with Karl Herzog winning the stage.

What a race, and I may have fallen in love with junior racing this weekend. Non-stop attacks make fun races a near guarantee. And who knows, maybe I’ll get the call up to sit behind the mic again too. 🎙️

Oh I saw how fast they went buddy

Of course I had to join the Norwegians for Uno-X during the stage 1 TTT in Barcelona!

With Norway smashing it at the World Cup it’s already been a mad summer of sport for Norway. And now at the Tour de France they’ve gone on to wear the yellow jersey and lead the race with Torstein Træen. 🇳🇴

It’s still coming home though. 😏

Man, I feel sorry for Arnaud De Lie. 🇧🇪

When I saw the news that he was ill just a few days before the Tour de France, I found it almost comical. I couldn’t believe it. How can he be ill again?

But then I watched the team time trial in Barcelona. Watching the recon, I noticed Lotto-Intermarché come by with 7 riders. One rider was missing. Arnaud De Lie had been dropped by his teammates during the recon. Minutes went by, before De Lie eventually arrived with two team cars trailing him. As he approached my viewing spot, he ground to a stop and promptly stepped into the team car.

I moved closer. Arnaud had placed himself in the passenger seat of the team car and was visibly devastated. It was heartbreaking to see. At that moment, I assumed he wouldn’t start the Tour de France at all.

Nonetheless, De Lie fought through the full Grand Départ in Barcelona, before finally succumbing to his diminished fitness on stage 3, where he abandoned the 2026 Tour de France.

But something special happened on stage 2 in Montjuïc. Standing on the roadside, fans roared the likes of Tadej Pogačar, Jonas Vingegaard and Isaac Del Toro on. After watching the yellow jersey group and then grupetto, we assumed everyone had passed through.

Minutes went by before we started to hear fans further down the hill cheer again. Surely it was too early for the yellow jersey group to make their way onto the circuit again. And there he was.

Arnaud De Lie emerged with a teammate dragging him around the hilly course. Every fan on the roadside could see what he was going through. A rider, who at his very best, could be a perennial stage winner at the world’s biggest bike race, fighting just to finish in the time limit.

And what happened next was quite special. 🥹

Arnaud De Lie will want to forget this Tour de France as soon as possible. But for at least a few moments on Montjuïc, he had the support of every single fan stood on that hill.

Cycling Day 2026 🇫🇷

Last year I put a lot of pressure on myself (too much in hindsight) to make content around the trip. This year, I decided to simply enjoy a few days in Paris.

I could get lost walking around Montmartre for hours. I also spent a slightly concerning portion of my free time hunting down the best smash burger in Paris. @dumboparis and @smatcheur_paris I’m a big fan of your work. 🍔

I have @benjinaesen to thank for introducing me to an arepa. I fear there’s no going back now. 🤤

Anyway, it was great catching up with the @studio.cyanide team and fellow content creators at the event, meeting some new creators too. A big thank you to @matthis_grs for organising over the last few years!

With the batteries somewhat recharged it’s almost go time. Game release and grand tour season is almost here. Time to lock in. 😤 taken in Paris by @timmsoski

Breakaway MASTERCLASS at the Tour de France! 🏆

In our Pro Cyclist mode on Pro Cycling Manager 25, Joe Timmsiola’s debut Tour de France was not quite going to plan...

We were unable to keep up in the GC, but that didn’t prevent us from dreaming of a stage victory. And our big chance finally arrived on stage 18 into Barcelonette. 👀

The question is, racing against the likes or Tom Pidcock, Ben Healy and Tobias Haland Johannessen in the breakaway, could we claim the biggest victory of our career so far at the TDF? 🤔

In case you needed to be reminded today 🫡

In fairness, I actually love running in the rain!

Anyway I’m currently training for Barcelona half marathon which is in February 2026. As a regular 5km and not much further runner, I’m aiming for a 1hr40. Let’s see how this goes. 😬

Also, Gladiator soundtrack is my all-time favourite music to run to. You just can’t beat it. 😂
