What do these two runners have in common?

Both ran for NJ powerhouse CBA
And now both have broken the 4minute barrier

Tim Gorman ran a personal best of 3:58.78 in 2017 and this past Friday evening Tim McInerney dipped under 4 for the first time running 3:59.23

CBA is the 2nd HS in NJ to have 2 runners that have broken 4:00 - Ocean City is the other by @timmygorman

FRED FINGERHANDS III: GHOST PROTOCOL

I am very proud to present for the first time on wide release the third installment in the Freddy Fingerhands saga, FRED FINGERHANDS III: GHOST PROTOCOL.

In this film we see our hero, Fred, forget about the haters and march to the beat of his own drum. We are also introduced to the undeniable Sphinx The Duck who plays a mysterious love interest. Another tour-de-force performance from Fred who seems to delight audiences whether he be playing the hero or, perhaps this time, the villain? You be the judge.

Post script for the costume design nerds: Fred is wearing a microfiber hand towel and a beaded necklace from a St. Paddy’s Day party. by @timmygorman

A twice in a lifetime trip by @timmygorman

And I am convinced that from the heads of all ponderous profound beings, such as Plato, Pyrrho, the Devil, Jupiter, Dante, and so on, there always goes up a certain semi-visible steam, while in the act of thinking deep thoughts. While composing a little treatise on Eternity, I had the curiosity to place a mirror before me; and ere long saw reflected there, a curious involved worming and undulation in the atmosphere over my head.

For, d'ye see, rainbows do not visit the clear air; they only irradiate vapor. And so, through all the thick mists of the dim doubts in my mind, divine intuitions now and then shoot, enkindling my fog with a heavenly ray. And for this I thank God; for all have doubts; many deny; but doubts or denials, few along with them, have intuitions. Doubts of all things earthly, and intuitions of some things heavenly; this combination makes neither believer nor infidel, but makes man who regards them both with equal eye.

It has been such a joy getting to know these athletes over the last two months. They are each wonderful, smart, unique, and talented, and I feel very lucky to be called their coach.
Good luck to my Cal Bears as they compete in the Pac-12 XC championships this Friday. You’ve all put in some amazing work this year and I know you’ll make me proud!

My first xc meet as a coach reminded me that xc is the greatest sport on earth. I’m super proud of the way Cal raced today, though I’m still not sure what to yell at athletes while they race. Today I used:
1) “Stay loose”
2) “Eyes up”
3) “Start racing”
If anybody has any affirmations that help them during a race please let me know what they are.

I won a race last week and ran a PR of 3:39.1. That makes two wins in a row. Got another one tonight in Orange County and I’m looking to make it three.

Woke up, watched Miracle, ran the #FootlooseFreedomMile. Just celebrating the 4th of July the best way I know how.

And a 4:04 mile at ‘7900ft is nothing to sneeze at!
