Parfois, la vie nous réserve de belles surprises.

Il y a une dizaine d’années, lorsque je travaillais à Paris dans les établissements du chef Jean-François Piège, j’ai eu la chance de servir Hélène Darroze. Un jour, elle m’avait demandé de lui commander un taxi (qui demandait le nom et le numéro de la cliente 😉 pour valider la réservation ) et, presque par hasard, son numéro était resté enregistré dans mon téléphone.

Dix ans plus tard, à Saïgon, je découvre sur ses réseaux qu’elle est au Vietnam. Je tente ma chance, je lui écris… et elle me répond.

Aujourd’hui, nous avons eu l’immense plaisir de la recevoir dans notre tout petit restaurant familial rue Pasteur.

Luli’s Kitchen, 182A rue Pasteur Hochiminhville !!!!

Malgré un emploi du temps chargé, elle a pris le temps de venir nous rencontrer et de découvrir notre cuisine.

Comme quoi, parfois, il faut simplement oser.

One of the things I love most about my job is the wonderful people I get to meet and the stories they share.

Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming a lovely Australian family with a truly remarkable story.

At just 22, Peter left England by boat on a ten-week journey to start a new life in Australia.

There, he met the woman who would become his wife. Together, they bought two hectares of land for just AUD 12,000 (around USD 8,350). Today, that same land is worth AUD 4 million!

Now approaching his 80th birthday, Peter is surrounded by six children and fifteen grandchildren.

Every guest has a story, but this one truly touched me. Not because of the land or its value, but because of the happiness Peter radiates and the joy so clearly shared by his entire family.

Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. They also remind me that the true richness of life lies not in what we own, but in the journeys we take, the wisdom we gain, and above all, the love we give to others and receive in return.

I think that is the greatest achievement in life: to grow old surrounded by the love you have spent a lifetime giving. by @timothee_rousselin

Quelle joie d’être parent ! Quel bonheur de les voir grandir, apprendre, découvrir le monde, mais surtout de les voir heureux dans ce qu’ils font.

La vie est faite de doutes et d’incertitudes, et le seul moment où ceux-ci s’effacent, où je me sens pleinement rempli de certitudes, c’est lorsque je vois la joie briller dans les yeux de mes enfants. by @timothee_rousselin
