I just published an open letter to Jeremiyah Love — the first neurodivergent Heisman finalist and Doak Walker Award winner. As a Black autistic former athlete, this moment means so much. Representation matters, and seeing neurodivergent athletes thrive helps our communities dream bigger.

I just published an open letter to Jeremiyah Love — the first neurodivergent Heisman finalist and Doak Walker Award winner. As a Black autistic former athlete, this moment holds great significance for me. Representation matters, and seeing neurodivergent athletes thrive helps our communities dream bigger.

#Autizzy #Neurodiversity #AutisticAndBlack #Blerd #CollegeFootball #JeremiyahLove #DisabilityJustice #RepresentationMatters #AutisticVoices #NotreDame #Inclusion Image Description: Two young Black athletes, rendered in anime style, shake hands in the center frame. The athlete on the left has long, dark dreadlocks and wears a navy athletic shirt labeled “UIC”; the athlete on the right has short, cropped hair and wears a dark blue football-style jersey with a stylized number 4. Both smile warmly and make eye contact as their right hands meet; cinematic rim lighting and soft cel-shading emphasize their faces and musculature. The background features a foggy waterfront city skyline and stadium lights, blending cool blue tones with warm gold highlights; a small, plain-text artist credit appears in the corner.

@timotheusgordon, an autistic researcher from Chicago, discovers why he’s #ActuallyAutistic while trying out the #Tylenol to see how much more autistic he can get

Let’s just say disappointed is an understatement; he definitely hates the #snakeoil @realdonaldtrump and @robertfkennedyjr is selling. It’s a waste of time. Gordon proposes that we should spend more time providing supports for autistic folx, instead of spreading rumors about autism causations that are not backed by science and promote bigotry towards the #AutisticCommunity.

#AcceptUs #NotKillUs, 2019
Risograph zine 리소 인쇄 진, 20 × 28 cm
Co-edited by Nohae and Timotheus Gordon Jr.

#AcceptUs NotKillUs

AcceptUs NotKillUs is a collaborative public project developed with disabled community members of color in Chicago and published as a zine in 2019. Through timelines, archival materials, interviews, and other resources, the project traces the history of police violence against disabled people and the community resistance that emerged in response between 2012 and 2018. Co-edited by Nohae and Timotheus Gordon Jr., the zine documents and highlights moments of disability justice and solidarity.

The hashtag AcceptUs NotKillUs originated as a social media campaign launched by Advance Your Leadership Power (AYLP) at Access Living in April 2016 in response to police violence against disabled people. The campaign called attention to the intersecting social and political conditions surrounding such violence, including race, disability, class, gender, sexual orientation, citizenship, and religion.

Ultimately, this project was not only an act of memory-building, but also of world-making and language-making—creating a vital space for disabled people of color and forging the language necessary to advocate for their lives.

🖤 BLACK AUTISM ACCEPTANCE DAY SUMMIT 2026 🖤

This month, we’re making space for Black autistic voices, stories, brilliance, advocacy, and joy.

Join us for the inaugural Black Autism Acceptance Day Summit, a free two-day virtual gathering created to center the lived experiences and perspectives of Black autistic people.

Across two days, we’ll have powerful keynotes and conversations exploring identity, autism acceptance, racism and systemic barriers, disability justice, education, fatherhood, creativity, self-advocacy, representation, community, and the future of Black autistic voices.

I’m excited to be participating as both a keynote speaker and panelist on September 19th and 20th! I’ll facilitate the discussion on Black men’s experiences with autism, including fatherhood, vulnerability, and mental health; community building; and advocacy and leadership tools & opportunities. Additionally, I will talk about the power of digital storytelling as a tool to advocate for yourself and other Black autistic people, and my experience of spreading Black Autistic Joy everywhere I go & any chance I can get.

📅 September 19–20, 2026🕛 12 PM–4 PM ET each day💻 Virtual & FREE to attend

This is more than an event. It is a space for connection, visibility, truth, celebration, and change.
