This pencil and others like it have been part of my creative DNA since I was six years old. From drawing, sketching, painting, writing, it all begins with the pencil or pen. I consider the defining artist's tool. Pencil is NOT a slur. It helps create, measure and write.

The reason I am saying this is because there is a sad trend going around today called #BreakThePencil & #StopAIPhobia where people believe the Pencil, a tool we use in our everyday lives as some oppressive slur. Many of us who know that AI art is not as perfect as many see it.

Without the pencil, there wouldn't be things like computers, buildings, clothing, furniture, etc. AI Art is not the solution. You want to make digital art, there are many great digital programs to choose from for your PC, laptop, phone or tablet. That is all. Carry on. by @timothym.nolan

"A face... a fleet... a war... a man... a thought... a trick... a trick to break the walls of Troy... and burn it screaming to the ground!"
After 10 long years of serving Agememnon and sieging the royal city of Troy, Odysseus, King of Ithaca sets sail to return home to his wife Penelope and son Telemachus. Telemachus sets course to meet Menelus of Sparta to learn if his father is truly alive. During his departure, several suitors including the warrior Antonius, Polybus and Penelope's handmaiden Melantho conspire to kill Telemachus and take over the throne of Ithaca. Guided by Athena, Odysseus and his army journey through many corners of Greece to return to their homeland confronting sirens, cyclopses, witches and other mythical beings as well as the spirits of the past that will challenge their wellbeing both mentally and physically.

Based on the epic poem by Homer, The Odyssey has been a worldwide cultural work of literature for millenias. Sir Christopher Nolan (The Prestige, Memento, Interstellar) brings his own touch to this legendary story and I can assure you this is by far the most ambitious film he has ever made and when I mean "ambitious" I mean he pushed the limits of technical filmmaking to a whole new level and is the first feature length film in history to be shot entirely in the IMAX format from beginning to end. The cast is an ensemble like no other.

This is insane. Not only are the anti-woke influencers and youtube grifters are out in full force over Lupita Nyong’o being Helen of Sparta/Troy, they’re going as far as depicting what Homer wrote in The Illiad and fighting over Helen and not Lupita. Times like this makes me glad to my very being that I am not an influencer or a youtube podcaster because these guys I swear losing their collective minds over a casting decision and resorting to AI slop images of white people depicting historical black figures not just shows they no longer hide their racism and bigotry but also shows that they have too much time on their hands. Over a movie adaptation based on fiction… I been quiet about this for a while now I am sharing with all of you a chart of epics back before 2026 that no one batted an eye on their respective casting. by @timothym.nolan

@lupitanyongo

- NAACP/Emmy/Academy Award Winner
- Golden Globe/BAFTA/Tony Nominee
- Best selling children's author (Sulwe)
- Beautiful in both looks and personality
- Star of five of the highest grossing films of her career (Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and A Quiet Place: Day One)
- Will be starring In what is supposed to be the biggest film of her career two and a half months from now

It's one thing to dislike casting decisions of a film. That's fine. But to go around and harass the person for being said character in a well known literary classic, calling her every racial derogatory known to man is out of line. Lupita doesn't deserve any of that, she didn't hurt anyone, all she did was accept a role, did her job and continued on with her life. by @timothym.nolan

Acclaimed costume designer @therealantoinettemessam (Creed, The Harder They Fall, The Book of Clarence and The Bluff)

Disclaimer: had to reshoot and repost (since IG doesn't let you replace the photo without deleting the whole thing) cause the original looked like it was shot in two-strip technicolor and could have been distracting at times. 😅
