WOW. These last 5 weeks I got the opportunity to serve with Hope Partners Costa Rica where we got to serve the children of Lomas Pavas who live in extreme poverty. I was put on the community team where we got to go inside of the children’s schools and do paint projects. I had an awesome encounter where I asked a child what the paint meant to him, he told me it brought him hope to want to continue showing up to school because he knew someone believed in him.

I was able to be alongside 8 other awesome interns and got to grow in relationship with one another with the same goal in mind. We ate, cried, served, laughed, and most importantly loved the community the best we could. My biggest takeaway from this trip is to continue seeking people personally as Jesus did. Praying for someone once isn’t enough, God calls us to true discipleship. That means being consistent and disciplined for others.

Overall, I have learned so much from this entire trip and I am beyond grateful to have been a part of it. I want to thank everyone who participated in praying or fundraising toward me. I appreciate it more than I can explain! Pura vida 🇨🇷 by @timpayet8
