Synopsis:

When Birdie ends up imitating her mom and Tim's attempt to have fun with it inadvertently causes the opposite of what he intended, he makes up for it by allowing her the honor of writing the first rule for the "Not Too Much Sass Rule Sheet".

She comes up with two, and Tim contributes one of his own that Birdie feels still belongs in spite of its silliness.

Leading to Tim suddenly feeling residual shame for what happened prior to it all and Birdie walking him through it with a mirroring game.

Birdie accesses her boundless, untethered gift of creativity and envisions a rule sheet for Tim to craft. A "Not Too Much Sass Rule Sheet." Out of inspiration from their earlier talk on sass.

A playful back and forth ensues before Tim accepts and sets to work on writing the title and his full name.

Then, a pronunciation lesson for his last name leads to a talk about his own family roots. And an insistence that Birdie shares credit for coming up with the rule sheet spontaneously herself.

Synopsis:

When Tim points out that Birdie not only xontains facets of her father but also her mother in her as well, she owns it with pride, demonstrating their qualties while retaining her own individual spirit.

Her Mom's sass becomes a particular topic of interest where both her parents' values around it are analyzed, with Tim providing his own observation per Birdie's request.

Synopsis: Birdie's suggestion that Tim tell Brie and Bryan about Fiddler's Violin Show leads to him filing it away in his proper cabinet. Both of them compare the sound of a thought disappearing to a thought running off.

Then Birdie's boundless imagination devises a solution to catching running thoughts while Tim, with his imagination, adds a feature to her little tool that she hadn't thought of.

Synopsis: Feeling confident after Birdie's show of support, Tim engages with her about how she was reflective earlier, leading to a discussion on the family chickens, Fiddler's potential thoughts, Fiddler's Violin, "Fiddler On The Roof", and a box suite for when her and the family want to see Fiddler playing on the chicken coop roof.

Note: Snippets were written when Birdie was 7 years old. Also, their chichen coop was different compared to the one they have now in Photos 13-15.

The Origin of Fiddler's Name:

"Brie said there were six chickens running around the coop when they went outside.

Buddy named two chickens Brownie and Princess. Birdie named two chickens Pearl and Fluffy. Brie named her chicken Tinkerbell.

'Bryan, I feel like, he says he can’t think of a name, but he I can’t help but think he’s boycotting it because I threw us all into raising chickens so quickly without being warned. His chicken keeps standing on the roof of the chicken coup, so Birdie and I decided Fiddler is her name,' she said."

Synopsis: The Story of Birdie's gift for Tim reaches its conclusion with the reveal of what lay at the end of the Toilet Paper Art Trail she'd set for him.

A destination that does more than reassure him that the feelings driven by that impulse were nothing to be scared of. It also brings him to tears at how much he was loved by Birdie for what he gave her regardless.

Driving home the universal truth that connections are valuable, transcend age, and can not be taken for granted.

Synopsis: Tim's brief moment of bliss from his reminiscence of the gift he gave Birdie is shoved away by a sudden onset of anxiety and distress.

Prompting Brie to support him through it while probing for the root of his abrupt shift in mood.

Here, he shares with her the moment following that event. Where Birdie decided to give him something in return.

But prior to that, his inner turmoil heightens after watching another video from Birdie's past that brought an association from his own past into the present, causing a sharp reaction within from an impulse that brings immense shame.

Synopsis: With Brie's part of the puzzle now incorporated into the whole, Tim guides through a key past memory associated with Birdie's desire.

Until, finally, Tim reveals what he gave Birdie on a symbolic level through "The Moon Song" by Karen O and her spontaneous dance number:

Another way for Birdie to keep the spirit of a long, deceased, four-legged member of the family closer.

A lost love that played a role in fostering the kindness they give to each other that now keeps their unit together through thick and thin.

Additional: I originally wanted to set "Slip Inside This House" by Primal Scream as background music as an auditory source of the lyric quote at the end. The confidence in his actions reverberates into the present as he continues sharing what happened.. When suddenly, the idea to involve Brie in the gift takes form.
