Happy Signboard Thursday everyone 😊! A-frame sign designed by and built for @speakeasybooks. 3ft x 2ft, all letters glued on and screwed on. About to be a new resident at @speakeasybookmarket in Idyllwild - thanks for the commission Dyani 😁!

New sign ready to head to Idyllwild!
@nookhollow asked for an exterior sign for their new store so here goes. 5ft x 3ft, in laguna blue and midnight sky with letters in metallic gold. Swipe to see the different stages of design and construction 😊

New store, new name, new sign. Children's toy store selling toys, oddities and some books - Idyllwild, CA - Nook & Hollow. @nookhollow . Open next to the ice cream store on North Circle, Idyllwild. This one is for their interior, 31" long. MUCH bigger exterior sign coming soon!

String art Monday? Doesn't have a good ring too it but couldn't think of a better one 😂! I haven't made any of these for quite a while. Believe it or not, despite a lot of preparation, and a lot of fiddly work, they're actually fun to make and are based on a very simple theory!

Wednesday "on the wing"? I haven't had the opportunity to just make stuff recently so I've decided to revisit some past makes. Whatever your style, I'm always happy to create something to suit your taste - today, birds. Like something here, got your own idea - just let me know!

I've not been able to get much done on a current commission due to extremely strong winds (70-90mph gusts) due to my "workshop" being 1/2 in my garage and 1/2 on my driveway, so during lulls in wind I remade my house numbers. I really liked the slimmer gold digits (in a previous post) but they weren't very visible at night so I "chunked them up" and went with white. These are way more visible.

It's all just shapes & mirrors. Latest piece commissioned by @los_feliz_abode. I'm sure there's a technical term for this kind of thing but it's too early (6.30am, official member of the insomniacs club!) and I can't place it. Anyway, atomic googie shapes and mirrors. Customer photos - thank you 🙌✨ - looking fabulous in its new home ❤.
