POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Reviving my TikTok career one video at a time. 🤣

Except we’re not feeling sad. Quite the opposite, actually!

Last year, @timtimma_ #and I were in Sweden sharing our work at Because She Can and exploring what collaboration could look like.

This year, we’re back as part of a funded project exploring how to create stronger pathways for African women into AI research and PhD programmes.

And that progression means so much to me.

If you know me, you know how much I prioritise excellence. I’ve always believed that our work should go beyond creating access to technology. We should also be thinking about what it takes for African women to excel at every stage, including becoming the researchers, experts and leaders shaping the field.

So yes, getting flown across continents to contribute to work like this is a BIG deal. Especially when I think about where we started and how much further we want to go.

Very grateful for the opportunities to keep doing meaningful work, and even more excited about what we’re building. by @timtimma_

Because She Can takes Sweden, Pt. 2 🇸🇪

Currently in Uppsala, Sweden, exploring research collaborations focused on creating more pathways for African women into AI research and PhD programmes.

From introducing young girls to their first lines of code to creating opportunities at the highest levels of technology and research, we’re slowly building the pipeline we once dreamed of.

Five years in, and there’s still so much more to build. 🥹💜 by @timtimma_
