Today felt like one of those days that reminds you how strange and beautiful life can be. 🇮🇹✨

For the first time, the whole crew was finally together in Venice.

Sean and Red Shovel came down from Florence. Emma met everyone for the first time. Oisin emerged from wherever dragons spend their mornings. 🐉☕ And somehow all of our separate journeys converged at Caffè Florian in Piazza San Marco.

Florian has been serving coffee since 1720. Generations have come and gone, empires have risen and fallen, yet people are still gathering beneath those arches to share stories over coffee. It also happens to be where Emma and I first met, which made being back there today feel strangely poetic.

Watching the crowds flow through the Piazza, it struck me that Venice is a bit like a tourbillon. ⚙️🌍

The world revolves around it.

People arrive from every corner of the globe, orbit around it for a brief moment, then drift away again. Yet Venice remains, quietly turning through the centuries.

From there we wandered off for lunch by the water and were joined by James, a mysterious local who has spent 17 years on the island and speaks the Venetian dialect. He taught us about the tradition of having an ombra—a “shadow” of wine. 🍷

Centuries ago, wine merchants moved their stalls around Piazza San Marco to stay in the shadow of the bell tower and keep the wine cool. Over time, asking for a shadow simply became asking for a glass of wine.

Naturally, before long the watches came out. ⌚

Rolexes, independents, oddities, treasures and stories spread across the table. Seafood arrived. More wine appeared. We talked about watches, life, collecting, friendship, travel, and all the unlikely decisions that somehow lead people from different countries and different lives to the same table.

For a few hours, time seemed to slow down.

Then reality returned.

We jumped aboard a water taxi 🚤, raced across the lagoon as the evening light turned gold, and barely made the last train back to Florence. 🚆🌅

One of those days you wish would never end.

One of those days that will probably mean even more years from now than it does today.

We arrived in Austria a few days ago and almost immediately went to see one of the country’s greatest treasures—Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss at the Belvedere Palace.

Seeing The Kiss in person was incredible. The scale, the gold, and the details are completely different from seeing it in a book or on a screen.

And the painting is only part of the experience. Austria is filled with incredible palaces, museums, churches, and historic buildings that give you a glimpse into the extraordinary wealth and lifestyle once enjoyed by its emperors and aristocracy.

Whatever you think about that kind of wealth, it’s impressive to see how much of this architecture and art Austria has preserved and opened to the public. Centuries later, these places no longer belong only to royalty—they’ve become part of the country’s cultural heritage for everyone to experience.

What a way to start Austria. 🇦🇹

THIS is what Talking Watches is all about! 😂⌚️🇳🇱

Had a fan of the livestream come all the way from Holland to Coney Island to hang out with Timmy! We started properly with a Nathan’s hot dog 🌭, then I gave him the grand tour of my Brooklyn neighborhood and even brought him into the Talking Watches studio to see where all the magic, madness and occasional disaster happens! 😂

It was hilarious sitting down and talking about all the crazy and funny moments from the streams over the years — and I finally got to answer some of the burning questions he’s had about the show. Some questions are probably better left unanswered! 🤣

We walked the Coney Island boardwalk and finished with potato dumplings at Tatiana.

And obviously there had to be watches! I was rocking my Studebaker Watch Company and he showed up with a classic vintage Omega Seamaster 300M. Proper watch guy! 👊⌚️

Had to stop by the Creed flagship boutique at Rockefeller Center today and try the new Iris Debonair. Guys, this is GOOD.

Beautiful iris, lavender, bergamot — classy, sophisticated, a little old-school gentleman but still modern. This is the kind of fragrance that makes you want to put on a nice watch, a proper jacket and actually behave yourself for five minutes. 😂

But I have to give a huge shoutout to the people working at Creed. Absolutely amazing staff. No attitude, no pressure, just genuinely nice people who took their time with me and made the whole experience fun. They even gave Timmy a beautiful Creed catalogue AND a sample of Iris Debonair to take home.

That’s what luxury is supposed to be. It’s not just an expensive bottle — it’s how you’re treated when you walk through the door.

Now I have the sample, which is dangerous… because we all know how this usually ends. 😂

I went in to smell it. I may end up buying it.

I eased back into one of my favorite hobbies today with a light hike up Blue Mountain in Peekskill. Nothing too ambitious—just the perfect trail to get back into hiking and enjoy being outdoors again.

The highlight had to be stumbling across patches of wild raspberries. We stopped more than once to pick and snack on them, and they were incredible. 🍓 (Well… raspberries! 😄)

My roommate was absolutely exhausted by the end, which made for some pretty funny moments on the trail. I think I enjoyed the hike a little more than she did! 😂

On the wrist was my trusty Rolex Daytona 116500LN “Panda”, which has become my go-to companion for days like this.

We finished the day by heading to our favorite taco spot, only to realize it’s under new management. Sadly, the food just wasn’t the same, and it definitely wasn’t the ending we were hoping for. Hopefully they can get things back on track.

Still, fresh air, mountain views, wild raspberries, good company, and a Panda Daytona on the wrist made it a day well spent.

Just got back from seeing the new Odyssey with my roommate, and what an experience. 🍿⚔️

First things first… we somehow ended up with the biggest popcorn and a giant soda that was literally bigger than my roommate. 😂 The look on her face when they handed it to us was priceless.

Of course, I had to wear my favorite watch for the occasion—my Rolex Daytona 116500LN “Panda.” ⌚️

As for the movie… I absolutely loved it. Watching all of the iconic moments from The Odyssey brought to life on the big screen was surreal. Scenes like the Trojan Horse, Odysseus blinding the Cyclops Polyphemus, his encounters with the Sirens, Scylla and Charybdis, and finally his long journey home to Ithaca felt epic in a way I’d never experienced before.

Growing up, I watched the older Odyssey adaptation countless times, and it’ll always have a special place in my heart. But this felt like The Odyssey had grown up with me. The scale was bigger, the emotions hit harder, and the performances gave the characters so much more depth. You could really feel Odysseus’ exhaustion, determination, and longing to get back to his family after everything he’d endured.

The acting across the board was outstanding, and it reminded me why this story has survived for nearly 3,000 years. It’s still one of the greatest adventures ever told.

Definitely one I’ll be watching again. Have you seen it yet? And if you did… what watch were you wearing? 😉 by @timwrite

Congratulations to Spain on becoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Champions! 🇪🇸🏆 What a tournament and what a final.

I watched the match with my trusty Rolex Daytona Panda 116500LN on the wrist—still one of my favorite watches for moments like these. There’s something special about pairing a great sporting occasion with a watch that has its own story.

Now it’s your turn… 👇

What watch were YOU wearing for the World Cup Final? Drop your wrist shot in the comments and let’s see what the watch community had on for football’s biggest day.

🚨 I have to admit… this is probably my favorite MoonSwatch release in a long time.

The new Mission to the Moon 1969 actually feels like it has a reason to exist.

Instead of just giving us another color, Swatch is celebrating one of the most important years in human history. 1969 wasn’t just the year we landed on the Moon—it was the year the Omega Speedmaster became the first watch worn there.

What really makes this release stand out is that only 1,969 pieces will be made, and each one contains an actual 11 grams of Omega’s proprietary Moonshine™ Gold integrated into the commemorative caseback medallion. That’s a pretty cool way to connect the watch to the precious-metal Speedmaster lineage while keeping it unmistakably MoonSwatch.

I also appreciate the little touches. The vintage-inspired aesthetic, the nods to 1969, and the fact that this release leans into the story rather than simply giving us another new color.

Love it or hate it, the MoonSwatch has done something very few watches ever have—it got people talking about the Speedmaster again. It brought thousands of new collectors into the hobby, and for many, it was the first step toward owning the real thing.

The only question is…

Has Swatch found the perfect balance between celebrating history and keeping the MoonSwatch special? Or are there simply too many of them now?

I’m curious where everyone stands on this one.

Would you wear it?
Or has the MoonSwatch craze finally run its course?

What a match. Football at its absolute finest.

First and foremost, my condolences to all the England supporters. You gave it everything, and this team fought with heart all the way to the semifinal. Sometimes football can be cruel, but there’s plenty to be proud of.

Congratulations to Argentina and all of their fans on an incredible victory. Another unforgettable chapter in World Cup history, and now one more step remains.

As for me, I knew today called for something special, so I wore my Rolex Panda Daytona for this monumental occasion. A legendary match deserves a legendary watch. And of course, I watched it with a pint of Guinness in hand.

These are the moments that remind us why we love the beautiful game. Rivalries fade, memories last forever.

Finally wore the proper beach watch today: the Panerai PAM914.

There’s just something about a Panerai by the water that feels right.

Coney Island is looking peaceful on this Wednesday morning. I woke up early, got some reading done, and felt like I needed just a little more sun before heading home to get ready for today’s livestream.

Sometimes the best part of the day is slowing down for a moment before the cameras turn on.
