Since all ya’ll pretending to be rich, let me hold your food stamp card Pookie 🫶🏽 by @tinicarose

The greatest gift I received this year was a language & diagnosis for something I struggled with my whole life. In the same regard the grief I’ve experienced knowing for decades I carried shame thinking I was broken. Spent years overcompensating, supplementing my lack of dopamine for approval. I was addicted to proving myself, performing, shrinking in ways that kept the supply available. Though I’m grateful for that woman, her strength and tenacity. I feel blessed to have and continue to outgrow her previous ways.

Faith says: Release it and trust God to handle it.

Currently in the middle of where I thought I’d be and where God wants me to be.

Hi my name is Tinica, I wrote this song 3 years ago to a beat produced by Matthew May

Alice in Underland is about what happens when you perform for love & acceptance… you hand over your authenticity without understanding what it truly means until you’re grieving a version of yourself you can’t get back.
