We officially closed on Project Homestead. A build we poured our heart, soul, and every detail into, and we couldn’t be happier for our buyers.

Huge thanks to our incredible trade partners, realtors, and the full team that helped bring this one to life.

We don’t just build homes…we build the cool ones.

Iconic Design Awards — Excellence in Architecture | Gold Award
Atoll | Modern, On the Boards, 6,500–8,500 SF

Set within the desert landscape of Paradise Valley, this residence draws inspiration from Tahitian architecture, reinterpreting the language of tropical island design through a contemporary architectural lens. Defined by monolithic stone mass walls, the home presents a restrained and protective exterior that stretches across the width of the property, concealing a lush internal oasis within. The result is an immersive sanctuary unexpected within the Arizona desert.

A razor-thin low-slope roofline references the quiet horizontality of traditional island architecture while reimagining it for a modern desert context. Deep overhangs, layered material transitions, and expansive openings establish a relationship between shelter, landscape, and water, allowing the architecture to feel simultaneously open and private.

Arrival unfolds through a lush tropical courtyard designed to evoke the feeling of entering an entirely different environment. Dining and office spaces line the courtyard edge, using framed views across the water to reinforce the project’s emphasis on tranquility, reflection, and connection to landscape.

Throughout the residence, a restrained palette of teak wood, blackened steel accents, and natural stone flooring and wall surfaces establishes warmth and permanence while reinforcing the home’s monolithic character. Interior spaces are carefully composed to balance intimacy with expansive views, with the great room, kitchen, and bar oriented toward panoramic vistas of Mummy Mountain and Camelback beyond.

At the rear, the architecture opens fully to a covered patio and expansive pool terrace that dissolve the boundary between indoor and outdoor living. A detached casita is placed lower into the site, preserving mountain views while maintaining the layered, resort-like composition of the estate. The residence ultimately balances concealment and openness, blending tropical serenity with the precision and permanence of contemporary desert living.

Project Avenida has an admirer… 🔪💀 by @tinker_development

It was also important to craft places both indoors and out, that invite you to take a breath and relax. Using organic textures, reclaimed and salvaged materials as well as tones that exist in harmony with the environment, the team worked to infuse endearing vignettes and character into the home and the land. With so much of life happening on a screen in front of our faces, Project Avenida quietly nudges you to be still, to look up and savor the scenery. In return, it offers a sense of renewal and a deep appreciation for this desert we call “home.” — Jennifer Burgess

Introducing the Cactus Wren residence. Defined by limestone walls that angle in plan and cant subtly in elevation, the residence is unified by razor-thin bronze roof planes that extend outward with precision and restraint. The composition balances solidity and lightness, grounding the home within the desert while allowing it to appear as though it reaches toward the horizon.

HOME TOUR: ONE CENTURY ONE DESERT

AVENIDA del SOL — Also called “Project Avenida” throughout the build process, it was designed with the intent to honor the awe-inspiring beauty of life in the desert southwest. This specific team was assembled by the developer for their individual talents in architecture, landscape design and construction. It was paramount to the designer to create a property that evokes a sense of history and soul, even though it is new construction. It’s hard to believe this was a blank canvas of dirt just a few years ago. Secondly, it was mandatory to make every corner of the property beautiful. As the designer said: We have a full acre, let’s use it all. Every inch got adequate attention and feels uniquely curated.

In return, it offers a sense of renewal and a deep appreciation for this desert we call “home.”
