Keeley’s 25th Anniversary and they celebrated with the Tube Drive! Two great circuits, one box. 🎸

Drive side: Keeley’s best version yet of the BD-2 Phat Mod. Fat, clear, medium-to-high gain that never turns harsh.

Tube side: a Keeley-branded 12AX7 with a tone stack pulled from the 5E3 Deluxe. Punchy, open, high-voltage boost that can go from bright to dark.

Stack ’em, flip the order with a push-and-hold of the drive switch, and the gain staging options are endless... no mush, no over-compression.

TonKraf Falcon // Tone Demo

Use headphones if you can!

Every tone here is the Falcon. Just a beautiful 6V6/12AX7 platform and a killer tone!

Older sibling to the Phoenix, same harmonically rich core, wider tonal landscape and a rounder low end. DEEP switch opens up the EQ. BOOST switch adds front-end gain for serious range - clean headroom to full saturation.

Got to spend some time with the Tonkraf Falcon for this week’s Gearheads feature. 🦅

It’s the older sibling to the Phoenix... Same harmonically rich core, but a rounder low end and a wider tonal landscape than I expected. The DEEP switch opens up the EQ nicely, the BOOST switch brings serious front-end gain, and that FX Loop doubles as a headroom control if you run it clean.

LOVE this amp (as well as my Phoenix) and really dig what's coming out of the Tonkraf factory. Highly recommend checking one out! ✌🏻

Finally got my tracking rig cleaned up and situated. 😎

For the audio nerds...

The most common use is for electric guitars and that chain is: Amplifier > UA OX > Cyclops Audio PM1000 > Audioscape DA3A > Apogee Element 88 > DAW.

The OX is a fantastic studio tool but I do find it really benefits from having some analog tone shaping post output.

I have an A/B switcher also made by Cyclops Audio to be able to switch to acoustic microphones and DI scenarios. A very simple and elegant routing solution as I don't need a patchbay.

14 years since this incredible day that we said “I DO!”

14 years since we danced under the Joshua Tree moon with our nearest and dearest and celebrated the love that I feel even more fiercely today.

What a party it was - I say this every year, but if you were there, thank you. Thank you for celebrating with us with your whole hearts. It truly still feels like it was yesterday because the love and support was so incredibly palpable that the memories are charged with the best feeling in the world.
