Had a really great night out the Uncanny Fear of the Dark live show on Wednesday, where I was asked to share my possible paranormal experience.
I shall elaborate!

At the age of five, to around seven, an Old lady who "looked like Bob Dylan" would appear on a chair in my room when I went to bed, and sat there until I fell asleep.

The whole thing began when I started hearing noises from the attic; bumps and bangs, not mice, bats or birds, but proper heavy thuds, like things falling. They were never overtly loud, but they sounded too heavy to be an animal, unless that animal was an elephant, which it wasn't.
I'd hear whooshing sounds and sometimes what sounded like wailing, as well as footsteps running down the attic stairs. I'd told my parents and they said it was probably the traffic. I never understood why the traffic would make such a noise, but mum and dad said that's what it was, so I thought, "okay" and didn't question.

I'd lay in bed, obsessed with the idea of people being trapped in a fire, surrounded by rubble and unable to escape. I could see it really clearly, but it wasn't like an hallucination or a vision, just a strong feeling and fear of it happening. I'd close my eyes tight and hoped it would go away, but every night, the thought would be back.

To the right of where I lay was a chair. That's where the Bob Dylan Lady would sit.
My parents are huge Dylan fans and this was the only way I could describe her.
Dylan did this thing called The Rolling Thunder Review with Martin Scorsese. He wore white face paint, a hat with flowers in and a long Silky scarf. My parents must have had the album as we didn't have a TV, and I guess I'd seen the cover and felt that was the best way to describe her.

Decided to stop hiding myself because of my health condition.
I absolutely hate making a fuss about it and feel like I'm attention seeking.
However this is my life now. In the words of my consultant, I "might get better or might not"
I have huge hopes of cures and better management being found. I'm still trialling different things because there is still not enough knowledge, staff or funding for my illness in the UK.
Until that happens, I'm not going to stop posting on social media. It's a very, very lonely illness. Also, a very unreliable one.
3 days ago I was almost symptomless, having fun in brum with the kiddo.
Now I'm stuck in bed and literally can only lift my arms a little bit. The glasses are because the light hurts my eyes. I'm drinking from a baby cup because I don't have the strength to lift my head. I've slept and slept and slept
Tomorrow I could be the same or I could be better.
Please do not pity me or send healing vibes!!
Im doing okay. I just want people to see what ots like fir us me/cfs patients.
But I am doing Okay. 💖

On Wednesdays I usually have a lay in with @blindboyboatclub but couldn't this week as I was up a hill, so had my blindboy lay in today.
"Pamela Fags" made me do a lol and then I listened to it again with my daughter and we both lolled.
*disclaimer: I am not actually in bed with blindboy, and if i was, I'd like to think it would be in a Bert and Earnie way, with weed.
Anyways, listen to it on Spotify and buy his short stories books to you can lol too. by @tinktopia
