Woke up to this gem in my inbox today. Such a joy to get to live this day over and over. Thank you @michael_o_films - loved having you there with me and •love• this video. Many happy tears have already been cried today.

“This moment will change you forever. You will become better together, than you ever could have been by yourselves.” What a beautiful truth from our officiant. Almost 6 weeks of newlywed bliss 🥰 in the books, and truly a lifetime to go.

For those who see this and are hurting… Maybe you’re single and don’t want to be. You’re in a marriage you want to end. You’re going through a breakup or divorce. I see you. Love •yourself• and wait. Wait for your person. Wait for your Andrew. I have never been more grateful for the long tough wait.

Waiting is not an easy task. But loving yourself while waiting is a wonderful thing. And this waiting brought me the most wonderful man I have ever met. My v sage friend @mrskeebz sent this exact message to me in a text recently and it was just what I needed to hear.
.
People are scary. Opening yourself up and being vulnerable is •hard• and this is one of the things I work on constantly in therapy. No matter if I’m happy, sad, excited, afraid, etc. I am so content to be in my little apartment…alone. When •you• choose alone, it’s so much easier than someone not choosing you.
.
As much as I like to think I can do it all on my own, this message resonated. When you person with someone and they respond by person-ing back you build your little group of people. And you can feel safe. And seen. And important. •WITH• people.
.
