Some weekends are like this, and honestly, I appreciate them.

I would normally split this 5-hour process into 2–3 days if I get enough notice on an order because it makes everything a lot easier.

It used to take me much longer when I first started because I was still figuring out my standard ingredients, measurements, preparation process, timing, packaging, storage, and even how to price my products to account for all the investment that goes into them.

It wasn’t fun at all. 😂

But I didn’t put everything on hold just to figure things out before I started selling. I showed up and figured it out along the way.

You don’t get clarity from idling. Clarity comes from doing.

That’s how you make mistakes, learn from them, improve, and do better the next time. And the more you take action, the better you become at it.

So, here’s a little reminder: you don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. Sometimes, you just have to start and figure it out along the way.

I hope you enjoy this mini vlog! Lemme know if you’d like to see more like this. 💃🏽

xoxo

“I’ve lived in St. John’s for years and never been to the Community Market. I came here because of you.”

“I only came today to get your cakes.”

“These are so good! Afia, how do you make your cakes?”

To say I was overwhelmed by your support last night would be an understatement. 🥹

Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for telling your friends about us.
Thank you for supporting this business and helping us grow. ❤️

If you’re new here, let me reintroduce myself.

My name is Afia Tiwaa Obeng, founder and baker at Tins ‘N’ Trays.

We specialize in interactive cake bar experiences that bring something different to your events. Instead of a traditional dessert table, your guests get to customize their own cakes with a variety of toppings, drizzles, and flavours, creating a fun and memorable experience they’ll talk about long after the event ends.

Perfect for:
✨Conferences
✨ Corporate Events & Networking Functions
✨ Weddings
✨ Birthday Parties

If you’re looking for a unique dessert experience that will have your guests lining up for more, we’d love to be part of your event.

We have limited bookings available for the remainder of the year.

Send us a DM to reserve your date. 💌 taken in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador by @tinstrays.ca
