A mature male spins a small, specialized sheet of silk (a sperm web) on the ground or in a corner of his enclosure. He releases a droplet of semen from an opening on the underside of his abdomen onto the silk. He reaches underneath the web or flips upside down to draw the sperm up into the bulbs (emboli) located on his pedipalps. He stores the sperm there until he finds a female.
