Last night was a special one at High Street.

It’s hard to believe we only opened our doors in February. In such a short time, the growth we’ve seen from these kids, both on and off the mats, has been incredible.

Their competition record speaks for itself and is a true reflection of the level of Jiu Jitsu being developed here. But what makes us most proud goes far beyond medals and wins.

We’ve built something special at High Street. The culture. The community. The way these kids support each other. And especially the parents! We are thankful to be around a group of families this supportive and committed to their kids and this team.

Professors Karla, Jay, Michaela, Josh, and Brendan are continually inspired by these young athletes and the work they put in every week.

We’re proud of how far they’ve come in such a short time…The future of High Street Jiu Jitsu is bright. by @tiny_shorts

○ Quick lasso guard sweep into a snatching armbar: yank them in with your hamstrings and arms with the same tenacity as forcing a fitted sheet on to a mattress.
○ If they don’t quite make it to their hip, just roll over the top, smoosh their face into the mat (no hard feelings) and finish with a belly-down armbar.
✨️Sometimes you have to work a little harder to get what you want. (Especially when what you want is their elbow hyperextended 😤)
