3 Saturdays ago, I dropped into Coach Alix’s Muay Thai class @analogbjj and loved it! The students were welcoming and Alix gives clear instructions with patience and encouragement. I stayed afterwards for my first ever Jiu Jitsu class ‘cause I was already warmed up. I honor my beginnings at Analog by continuing to learn @8limbsmuaythailv @teamoctopus_summerlin and @teamoctopus__henderson 🫶🏽 I am so grateful to all the amazing Coaches and students for helping me grow. 🌱#analogbjj #muaythai #nogijiujitsu #selfdefense #austinfitness by @tiny_sightings

It’s never too late to try new things, especially when it comes to improving your physical and mental health. I dropped into @analogbjj to support my dear friend and his business partner’s new academy. When I went for their beginner friendly Saturday morning Muay Thai class, another student convinced me to stay and give Jiu Jitsu a try. One week later, I ended up taking 8 classes and 1 private lesson! (5 BJJ, 3 Muay Thai, and 1 Self Defense & Mobility Training) 😄 I am beyond grateful for all the coaches and students I met who were so welcoming and encouraging and created a safe learning environment for me to grow with intention. 🌱 By jumping into classes with an open mind, I’ve already learned so much about myself and what my mind and body are capable of. 💪Thank you so much coaches 🙏Rudy @rudyrexxflows , 🙏Scott @srichesonatx , and 🙏Alix @mangler.fish for all your knowledge, kindness, patience, and awesome playlists to get everyone into a flow state. ✨I hope to continue practicing both martial arts and see where it takes me, as I also continue my return to the arts as a dancer and painter after way too long. The saying “what is meant for you will never miss you” has truly applied to the past week’s experiences.
