Stepping out in style this September. The September pot challenge. A birthday party planned, one day, twenty pots to clear out, arrange and fill. Patio transformed and party ready, looking colourful and pretty for a happy client. A bit of a tidy up needed in the garden and it's all system go. Still lots of colour to be enjoyed in the months ahead and hopefully a little more help from the rain to keep things looking lush #septemberplanting#patiopots#seasonalplanting#containerplanting#plantlover

Large fig transferred to a big bot, berginia and phlox added to the smaller pots.

Hydrengas, penstemon, echinacea and hebe adding to the gentle colour palette of pinks,purples and white.

Tending this beautiful spring Garden planned and planted some years back. It grows more beautiful as it matures and self seeds over time. The hellebores are in full bloom.at the moment,with many more imminent blooms to shortly arrive on the scene. There are blooms for every season, the planting is sustainable and resilient and the maintenance is low. It's here with oh so many signs appearing day upon day. The snowdrops are in full swing, alongside them there are beautiful flowers from cyclamen, crocus and hellebore blooming right now. This is just the beginning. Narcissi, muscari, tulips and aliums are well on their way, shooting growth that will yield early to late spring blooms. With a well thought through planting plan there will be nothing to do but enjoy the pleasure they will bring year after year. Little pockets of pleasure in the garden. A chair carved from river aged wood, French marigolds grown lovingly from seed beginning to bloom, a bumble bee collecting pollen, gardens just give and give. What's not to love?. French marigolds are an easy one to grow from seed. Find a flower colour you like and pot it up. Then collect the seeds from the flower dead heads in autumn to sow and grow year upon year.
