Can you believe this was only a ONE month difference?? 🙂‍↕️🤭 btw, the flash on my phone makes it look more silvery than pink.

Check out my previous post for more clips of the initial unboxing and 1 week glow up ✨

A lil backstory for those who didn’t see my initial story, I ordered a few begonias online and they arrived looking UNWELL (ie 💀🪦😵). Some amazing folks on here informed me that begonias can be a lil dramatic when they get shipped and that these guys would def bounce back. And they sure did!!! 🥹🥰 When they resurrected after just one week, I changed this begonia’s substrate from soil to horticultural lava rocks and I’m SO so relieved that the switch didn’t push us back a few steps! Also, yes, it did grow THREE leaves (plus a lil baby one) within this one month too!! 🪴

if i never post about her ever again, then let’s just pretend i never had her ok?

we were at a plant pop-up when my fiancé showed her to me and i was like ‘yeah sure, why not?’ i panicked afterwards bc i wasn’t completely sure what to do with THE QUEEN when we got home, all I knew is that she can be a tricky one to make happy.

it’s been a month now and she still intimidates me everyday but i see some new roots growing! 🥹

Check out my previous post to see how I propagated this begonia! ✂️🌱

I already potted my other cuttings from this begonia in fluvial stratum and perlite, so I’m curious to see how this one does in lechuza pon 🪴

anyone else feel like semi-hydro just makes watering simpler? i also think my begonias grow better in them too! 🌱

she’s an (un)paid actor for falling back like that 😂

my Ginny Galaxy keeps tipping over and is taking up so much real estate in my greenhouse! it’s time to give her a lil trim, but just enough to keep her balanced again and enough to grow more bb galaxies 🥰🌌

follow along for updates! ✨🌱

this plant is so tall, shes giving Sara Bellum from the powerpuff girls 😂

I received this anthurium last month and I noticed that I didn’t see any root growth compared to the other imports from my package, so I figured to transfer it to a better breathable mix!

tree fern fiber:
✅ great aeration and oxygen flow to the roots
✅ holds moisture without staying waterlogged
✅ doesnt compact around the roots over time

I can never gauge moisture levels well when my small plants are in soil, and they thrive in semi-hydro anyway! 🙂‍↕️

I’m switching out the original soil mix with lechuza pon 🪴Let’s see how my alocasia venom does in her new substrate!
