I’m learning that every season doesn’t look the same—and it isn’t supposed to. Some seasons are for building. Some are for waiting. Some are for letting go. Some are for becoming. And some are simply for being still enough to recognize how much God has already done.

Change can be uncomfortable, especially when God begins shifting things I thought would stay the same. But I’m learning not to fight the transition. What feels unfamiliar to me is still familiar territory to God.

So in this season, I’m choosing to trust Him. To raise my hands even when I don’t have all the answers. To thank Him for what was, embrace what is, and have faith in what’s coming.

And one of the greatest blessings is knowing that my daughter is watching me walk through these seasons too. I pray she grows up knowing that when life changes, God doesn’t. 🙌🏾

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV

Here’s to embracing new seasons, new beginnings, and the God who remains faithful through them all. 🤍✨

I’ll go first …

I miss being pregnant because I could just get up and go and everybody fed me and I’d get spoiled by strangers. Now I’m a walking toilet and milk machine stuck in the house until baby girls immune system gets right.🤧😅🤣

I know better days are to come but just DANGGGGG 😭😭

HELLO WORLD

We would like to formally introduce baby Aminah Rose 🌹 😇

The day after having a baby feels like a dream—it almost didn’t seem real. She slept peacefully through the night, and I found myself waking up just to check that she was still breathing. A week later it seems even more surreal.

I never tried to imagine what she would look like, but she’s absolutely perfect to me. I’m so grateful to God for a healthy and safe delivery.

As I reflect, I will say one thing that they don’t talk about in the whole birthing process is what happens after delivery. After my golden “hour” I was off to the OR for minor stitches and the first time ever it was the most surreal feeling of leaving my baby behind. Like WOW, I’m a WHOLE MOMMA. She is me and I am Her. I now have a part of me that will be with me to the end of life.

Overall, even though the pain delivering naturally was momentarily a 10 out of a 10 … it was worth it bringing this beautiful ray of sunshine to this world for a lifetime.

And with that, although I’m still recovering I’ve already forgotten the pregnancy pains.

GIVING MANY THANKS😊 🙌🏽 to all my friends and family that have checked in on us🙌🏽 I know I’m slow to respond but for one we are still very much sleep deprived due to the multiple nights staying up staring at this beautiful gift from GOD😇

ALSO, I’m so thankful to my mom for flying out here across country to CALI to be with us. I can’t express how much grateful I am to her for not only just helping out with baby but really just focusing on ME So that can get my strength back to be there as the wife and mom I need to be

And of course, A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT To my husband for being there the ENTIRE WAY.
This man has been on go since he got off duty working a 12 hour shift at 7 o’clock in the morning on delivery day, and has not distance himself one bit … I wouldn’t expect less but like they say “ anyone can be a father but it takes a real man to be a dad while keeping his house in order

Now off to more sleep and cuddles 😇❣️

My New Year’s resolution is to make sure I feed myself emotionally, mentally and physically this year. So far, Im on the right path. As of this moment, I’m pushing myself to achieve great things in life and because of that, I’m pushing myself to points where my mind and body just quite frankly, never had to work.

I guess I’ll try to catch a few more naps or something before I start sprouting grey hairs but I’m here to tell you EMBRACE THE CHANGE(S)!!! The good ones, the bad ones, and most importantly the ones that make 0 sense!!! Right now, it might be difficult through your transition of adding something new to your life, but in the long run if you work hard and put your faith in God everything will work out according to His plan🙏🏾🤟🏾✨

To all my 90s babies out there… be the change you wish to see! Because 2024 is our year!
