From Touch NZ: Congratulations to Pete Walters ONZM, who was this weekend honoured as a Life Member of the Auckland Touch Association.
Pete’s contribution to the game spans decades, with service to touch both in Aotearoa and internationally that is widely respected, appreciated, and celebrated. “Mr Touch” is a name known across the global community.
His list of accolades reflects this remarkable legacy, including multiple honours from Touch New Zealand - a Service Award (1998), Players Award (2004), and the Distinguished Service Award (2016). In 2022, Pete was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to touch rugby.

Adding Life Membership with Auckland Touch is a fitting recognition of an outstanding career and lifelong commitment to the sport. by @tipihaere_
