What happens when a wine trailblazer and a James Beard Award-nominated chef reimagine the dinner party? You get Birdfat. ✨

Inspired by the lively salons of the Harlem Renaissance and jazz legend Charlie “Bird” Parker, Birdfat is an evening that celebrates the mighty bird — chicken & duck and a touch of goose — through delicious food, wine, cocktails, and community. 🍷

I had the opportunity to attend an exclusive preview of this new Portland pop-up from @tiquettebramlett of @hendersonavewines and Chef Jonathan Jones @epiloguekitchen @brynmawrvineyards, offering a first look at the experience ahead.

Still riding the high from the party and feeling deeply grateful for every soul that came out to celebrate with us. It was more than an event—it felt like home, joy, and purpose all wrapped into one.

Big love to Jordyn from @jm_joints for creating a vision that went beyond my wildest dreams. You brought warmth, intention, and beauty into every detail, and turned this home into the most welcoming, love-filled space.

To the @hanoakpdx fam—thank you for not only letting us take over your space on your day off, but for showing up with such generosity and incredible food that brought everyone together. You set the tone with that meal.

Zie Zie, Michelle, Terrell, and Evan—you’ve been in from day one. You believed when this was just an idea, and you stayed locked in every step of the way. Your support, trust, and willingness to translate vision into reality means the world. I’m so thankful for the friendships we’ve built and the magic that’s already unfolding.

To my found family and blood family—thank you for holding me down, lifting me up, and reminding me that I’m never doing this alone. Your presence, your belief, your love—it’s everything.

Before Birdfat officially hits the streets, we gathered some of our favorite people around the table alongside our friends at @epiloguekitchen 🫂

Last week, we welcomed media, creators, and tastemakers to a preview dinner with Chef Jonathan for an early look at what’s to come.

The evening was a chance to share the story behind Birdfat over thoughtfully paired dishes, Henderson Ave pours, and conversations that lingered.

Introducing the Henderson Ave Tasting Room Series 🫂🍷

The more time we spend in wine, the more we realize that some of the most memorable moments have very little to do with what’s in the glass.

They happen when someone behind the bar shares the story behind a bottle. Or when a tasting turns into a conversation.

Think new wine + new perspective.

Those experiences have shaped the way we think about wine, and they’ve certainly shaped the way our own palates continue to evolve.

This series is our way of documenting that journey.

We’ll be exploring palettes of taste that inspire us, celebrating the people behind them, and archiving the spaces that are making wine feel more welcoming and connected than ever before.

Stay tuned as we sit down with some familiar faces and spaces that are changing the face of wine one glass, one sip, one can, and one gathering at a time.

“What do wine and Porsche have in common?”

We’ll let you sit with that because honestly… we asked ourselves the same thing.

It’s not the obvious pairing, but maybe that’s the point.

The more we thought about it, the more it made sense. Both are steeped in the idea that how something feels matters just as much as what it is.

We’re excited to be pouring Henderson Ave at @porsche_studio_portland all summer long. If you find yourself there, have a glass, take it all in, and let us know how your experience was 🫂🍷

Happy Father’s Day to my Daddy.

The older I get, the more I realize that fatherhood isn’t just about titles. It’s about presence. It’s about showing up. It’s about being the person who answers the phone, who offers wisdom when you need it, who lets you stumble but never lets you believe you have to get back up alone.

When I look back at my life, there are so many chapters that could have broken me. The car accident. Cancer. The moments where I wasn’t sure what came next. The risks. The dreams. The countless times I decided to try anyway. Through all of it, I’ve been fortunate to know what it feels like to have people in my corner.

You taught me that strength isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s consistency. Sometimes it’s sacrifice. Sometimes it’s quietly carrying more than anyone knows because the people you love need you to.

This year has been one of those years that puts everything into perspective. The kind that reminds you what matters, who matters, and just how precious time really is. And in those moments, I find myself especially grateful for the people who have helped shape me into who I am.

Thank you for every lesson. Thank you for every ride. Thank you for every conversation, every laugh, every reality check, and every moment you’ve shown up for our family.

And thank you for helping me understand something that has become the foundation of so much of my life and my work: that community begins at home. That we take care of our people. That we leave the door open a little wider for the next person. That we show up.

Happy Father’s Day, Pops.

I love you deeply. And if I’ve learned how to stand tall, lead with heart, and keep going when things get hard, a whole lot of that started by watching our own.

Forever grateful that I get to call you Pops.

Last week wasn’t really about standing on a stage.
It was about trusting myself enough to step onto it.
When I was asked to deliver the State of the Industry address @womeninwineoregon, I was honored, excited, and honestly a little terrified. Not because I didn’t care about the topic, but because someone saw something in me that I wasn’t entirely sure I saw in myself.
You know that feeling when you can sense something in your gut, but still question whether you actually have anything worth saying?
That was me.
As I started writing, I realized there was only one way to do it: it had to sound like me. Not the version of me I thought people expected. Just me.
And once I said yes, people showed up for me.
My friends. The Henderson Ave team. The Women in Wine team. The wine aunties. Mentors and peers who reminded me I was capable of doing this.
What struck me most wasn’t the support itself, but what it represented.
These people saw me.
There is something powerful about being seen.
As I crafted the address, I kept returning to a simple idea: we are the pebble that causes the ripple. The challenges facing our industry are real, but so are the opportunities to build, lead, and show up differently.
When the day arrived, the nerves hit.
Hard.
But I reminded myself that I wasn’t nervous because I was incapable. I was nervous because I cared.
And when I stepped onto that stage, I realized the moment was so much bigger than me.
It was about the women in that room. Women building, leading, mentoring, creating opportunities, and continuing to show up for an industry they love.
The real win wasn’t delivering the address.
The real win was becoming the kind of person willing to trust herself enough to deliver it.
Sometimes the most meaningful opportunities aren’t the ones where you prove something to other people.
They’re the ones where you finally prove something to yourself.
And sometimes, all it takes is one person seeing something in you before you’re ready to see it yourself. by @tiquettebramlett
