Recharged and ready to stack those 🧱(mentally & physically) 💪🧡

Little Sugar spit me out bloody and overheated, but dang, does it feel good to come out the other side of the @bigsugarclassic! 😂

Going into it, I don’t think I fully appreciated just how technical the course was or how sharp those rocks could be. I slashed my rear tire just 10 minutes into my first pre-ride and my arm within the first 20 miles of racing. Needless to say, it was an eye-opening experience! 😅 One thing’s for sure: I know there’s a PR out there for me next time.

Still excited to come away with 🥇 overall woman on a day when I wasn’t quite at my best. With the chaos of the mass start, I’m hopeful this result earns me a spot alongside the elite women at future @lifetimegrandprix events, representing @butcherboxcycling. 🤞🏼😉

A tough day, a lot of lessons, and plenty more to come! 💪🏼 Time to let it all soak in and prep for the 2027 season ahead. by @tiradenny

These last few weeks leading up to Little Sugar have been extremely tough. The company I worked at for over 10 YEARS eliminated my role. It knocked the wind out of me and my family, and if that wasn’t enough our dog Pepper got >10 stitches. Not like we weren’t stressed enough.

BUT, If there is anything that I’ve learned from racing, it’s that it’s not over until it’s over. There are so many good things in life to be thankful for, you don’t give up. You learn, you change, you try harder. You fight back.

Going into Little Sugar, a 100k mountain bike race, I’m ready to suffer, be in the moment, not think about anything else and just flow. I’ve been craving this for the last few weeks. I’m ready to let go of those last few weeks and fight with my heart because you don’t give up, you learn, you progress, you try harder.

And when I come back, I’ll have my wonderful family there by my side to love, cherish, and be able to provide for at a new job I am so in love with who truly believes in me like I believe in them ♥️ 🐕

Training lately🌲🌅🐾

With Zoey in Kindergarten, it’s been nice to get out early again before work vs feeling like I have to miss time with Zoey later in the day. Finally, the candle isn’t burning on both ends. Feeling grateful for this little season ❤️ by @tiradenny

🥉 at @vermontoverland 😊

I think the biggest difference heading into these last few races has been my mindset. I’ve been learning to trust the process, let the cards fall where they may, and believe that what I’m giving—in racing and in life—is enough.

This year has been a lot. Juggling Zoey’s crazy schedule, navigating changes at work, and trying to train and compete without the same amount of time as some of my competitors hasn’t always been easy.

So to come away with a podium feels pretty damn special. Not because everything was perfect, but because I know how much went into getting here.

And honestly, I’m leaving VO with a lot of hope. Hope that I don’t have to choose between being a good mom, partner, and employee while being a competitor who still wants to chase big goals.

Maybe there’s room for all of it ❤️

It was this time last year that I seriously considered giving up on bike racing.

Something I had worked so damn hard for, for years, suddenly felt impossible. I was still dealing with symptoms from getting hit by a car the January before, and I felt completely defeated. I hadn’t found my way back to myself yet, and it was one of the hardest experiences I’ve ever gone through—with no easy answers or quick fixes.

But I didn’t back down. I kept searching for answers.

I got my eyes checked and started working with @waypointpt on my insufficient convergence, neck issues, and the vertigo I was experiencing. The difference was night and day. It was a level of recovery I never expected—and honestly, something I wish I had started much earlier in the race season, before Nationals.

Now, with @vermontoverland right around the corner, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I raced through last year.

The extra caffeine I took in during the race just to push through that +2-hour wall. The point where my vision started to go and my body couldn’t figure out how to regulate its temperature. I had a top finish within reach, only to bonk so hard that I watched myself fall from the top 5 to the top 10.

I know I should be grateful for that result—and I am. But I also knew I was capable of more. I was stronger than that, and I left that race feeling disappointed and frustrated with myself.

This year, I’m heading into VO with a completely different mindset. A body that has healed. A mind that has grown. And a whole lot more perspective on what it means to push through something hard.

It’ll be interesting to see how all the pieces come together on race day.

I’m ready to suffer.
I can do hard things.
I’ve worked hard for this.

First time racing on the @pandapodium.official @quickprobikes GR:ONE. Felt like I was flying 🦋🦅🚀

Feels good to hold my own in a strong group of men 💪

@racingdowneast #mainelygravel Race Recap: A bit sketchy in the beginning in such a big crew - it started to open up around the halfway point. It was those couple of sprints and climbs as the group yo-yoed which made the difference. I made my moves and kept the pace until the end. I knew in my mind that once the body started to overheat and not be able to cool off, the >90% humidity would take its toll. First time ever cramping a bit during a climb but I kept going and had enough distance for a solid W. Didn’t want to take any chances with the very strong @clara.brownie 🌈

Nice to see the YoY improvement despite the soft muddy gravel and humidity. Time to recover headed into @vermontoverland - Can’t wait to see how this shakes up. It’s always been a good testament to see how I am improving every year.

🙏Thank you @atlassportscycling @butcherboxcycling & @gorhambike for the goods headed into this one.

🙏Thank you @mybikeisalwaysbroken & Chris @mainelybicycle for helping me get the bike dialed.

🙏Thank you @mtbburtoncoaching for the coaching.

Feels like the pieces are falling into place and I’m so pumped🔥♥️🔥

Took the 🏆🥇 at CBCC 🎉

After a bit of an unplug from racing, I absolutely loved @cbccrace @nueraceseries 100k!! The course, the community, the energy… what a place to suffer.

I’ve always wanted a sub 6 hour at this race and to walk away hitting that goal makes me soooo happy. I truly loved how much single track this course had to offer. Thank you so much @anja_meichsner for the company and amazing cooking. That was a blast.

This course PR was a true testament of the work @mtbburtoncoaching has been helping me put in, and to be vision issue free is a freakin’ dream. Thankfully feeling out of the woods on all that health stuff.

Keeping the party going… today I took a shot at racing the @yarmouthclamfestival on tired legs. I’ve always been interested in seeing what this crit race is all about. With the abrupt end of @racedayxc , I’ve been looking for races closer to Mike and Zoey. So, I drove back last night after the 100k and did my best to get some rest to give it a try. Proud of a 7/18 finish on cooked legs with a few 3rd finishes on the primes. Learned a lot and it was fun to ride with a big group of woman. Curious what the future will bring 🤔 Maybe we’re onto something.

Thank you @gorhambike for the Scott Spark and the Trek Madone. Those bikes were awesome for these events!!

Big thanks to my team @butcherboxcycling for all the support!!!

A “nice” bit of hills 🥵…🪦

#unitedthroughcycling #butcherboxcycling #hillrepeats #quickpro #imdead by @tiradenny

The amount of lessons you learn racing XCO and how much everything matters is both an enlightening and humbling experience.

Physically, I felt really strong headed into the last @racedayxc race but I overlooked one very important detail…running the correct tires. Me juggling a million things from the wild daily Zoey preK shuttle service, work items, and all of the above had me overlooking location of the event. I punched in weather for an hour away from the venue showing clear skies until the end of the race. Well, that didn’t happen 🤦🏻‍♀️

I ran an Aspen front and Aspen ST rear. The perfect tire setup for super dry and speedy conditions. A pure rookie move. It was a humbling experience and I’m damn proud of myself for controlling what I could control during the race to pull away from last place to 3rd.

Looking back, it’s a good reminder to breathe and take the extra time. It’s okay to put yourself first sometimes and it’s hard to get everything perfect juggling so much, but there are still so many more moments to be had.

To all the moms out there, I see you. Keep your passions and identities alive 🫶 Showing up sometimes is the biggest win of all even if it means you didn’t shower, tackle all your goals, or ran the wrong tires. Keep trying because tomorrow is a new day.

Thanks for following along🌲♥️
