We met at a time when our decisions were questionable, our lives were fast, and our options were endless… and yet, somehow, we chose each other every single time. ❤️

My life would be so boring without this kind of unintentional chaos and unlikely stability.
Best friends are for kids… we’re sisters, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

To MORE MUSIC, MORE WINDOWS DOWN, MORE MORE MORE. I’m so glad I get to do this life with you. Happy birthday, sissy. ❤️ by @titalavida

Island roots. Championship standards. International results. 🌴🏆🇹🇹

There’s something special about taking something built at home and putting it to the test on the international stage.

Home-grown training.
Home-grown talent.
A paddle built with Caribbean roots.
International results.

From Vietnam 🇻🇳 to Jamaica 🇯🇲, we’ve watched the work translate:

🥉 Nathaniel Alexander — Men’s 5.0, Vietnam
🏆 Nathaniel Alexander — Men’s Prize Pool, Pro Level, Jamaica
🥉 Kristin Stepp — Women’s Open, Jamaica
🥉 Kristin Stepp — Mixed 40+, Jamaica

And getting to do it with a paddle born from the same island we call home makes it even more meaningful.

Tropckl was built here.
Our game was built here.
Our training was built here.

Now we’re taking it to the world.

Because you don’t need to come from a big market to build something that can compete on a big stage.

Built in the Caribbean. Tested internationally. Proven on court.

Island roots. Championship standards. International results. 🌴🌎🏓🇹🇹 taken in Trinidad and Tobago by @titalavida

My favorite day after the World Cup. 🌎🏓❤️

The competition was over. We were no longer opponents — just athletes from different countries, sharing the court, sharing knowledge, laughing, learning, and helping each other grow.

Different languages. Different accents. Different personalities.

But one shared love for the game.

That day reminded me that pickleball is so much bigger than competition. It creates connection, friendship, memories — and sometimes even traditions.

No borders. No judgment. Just passion, love, and a court big enough for all of us. ❤️🌎🏓🇹🇹🇯🇲🇧🇲🇲🇽🇮🇷 taken in Blue Range, Diego Martin, Trinidad by @titalavida

Paddle tapping is non-negotiable.

Partnership is the best—and most challenging—component of this sport.

We all have good days and bad days. Good shots and bad shots. Great mental games and really tough ones.

Being in a partnership means, especially in the toughest moments, looking outside of your own experience and asking yourself what you can do to help, motivate, and build up someone else. It’s being absolutely ride or die for the next 15 minutes… again and again and again.

The level of empathy, self-awareness, patience, and kindness it takes to nurture a true partnership is something really special.

So when you’re looking for someone to play with, consider building a partnership, not just finding a partner.

Don’t look for someone with the highest DUPR, the best shots, or the most medals.

Look for someone who wants to support you, encourage you, build you up, hype you up—and who will always tap your paddle. taken in Da Nang, Vietnam by @titalavida

I’ve heard “One Love” my whole life.

But if I’m being honest, I don’t think I really understood what it meant until this weekend at Pickle & Chill and the @jamaicaintlpickleballopen . 🇯🇲❤️

There was something about this place, these people, and this sport that made the meaning of it feel completely different.

It was strangers becoming friends.
Players cheering for players.
Competition without losing kindness.
Laughing between points, celebrating each other’s wins, and making space for everyone to feel like they belonged.

And maybe that’s what I loved most about this weekend — the reminder to take a chance. Big Up to @kobiias and @amanchatani and the whole @islandathleticco for your professionalism, your passion and most importantly your friendship. I am in awe of what you guys do.

Wayne, my newest mixed partner… thank you for taking a chance on me and putting up with all my antics 🤪. We had an absolute blast, and I’d run it back with you anytime! 🏓🇯🇲

Natty, always. ❤️ Thank you for being part of so much of this journey — for the history, the laughs, the battles, the belief. Some partnerships become special because of how long you’ve been doing it together. Ours is special because of everything we’ve built along the way. @nathanielalexander_pb

Meryl, thank you for reminding me that taking a chance on someone new can be scary. Sometimes you don’t know how the partnership will feel, whether you’ll find the rhythm, or what you’re going to discover about yourself along the way. But sometimes the scariest chances have the biggest returns. ❤️ @meryldayao.pb

I came to Jamaica to play pickleball, but I’m leaving with something so much bigger.

A reminder that community really can cross borders. That you can meet people for the first time and somehow feel like you’ve known them forever (that’s you @gabi_elena ❤️) And that competition is so much better when it’s rooted in connection, respect and joy.

To everyone at @pickleandchilljamaica — thank you for showing me what “One Love” really looks like.

Jamaica, you have my entire heart. 🇯🇲❤️

Until next time… One Love. 🫶🏽🏓 taken in Pickleandchilljamaica by @titalavida

Carry water. Chop wood. Build your house.

No shortcuts. No waiting for someone else to come and build it for you.

Some seasons are about dreaming. Others are about carrying the water, chopping the wood, laying the foundation, and doing the work nobody sees.

Build your own house — your own life, your own peace, your own future.

And when the storms come, you’ll know exactly what you built it on. taken in Trinidad and Tobago by @titalavida

Happy Birthday to my ride or die. ❤️

From two girls living on a tropical island to years of traveling the world, chasing adventure, and causing a little chaos everywhere we went… you’ve been part of some of the best memories of my life.

You’re the one I call when I need a costume for a themed party because somehow you always have a corset packed in your suitcase. 😂 You’re always down for the next adventure, fiercely loyal, and if anyone ever treats me wrong, I already know exactly who’s going to have my back.

You’re one of the kindest, funniest, most genuine women I know. The best auntie to my kids, an incredible animal lover, and it’s been so beautiful watching your evolution into an amazing pickleball champion and coach, impacting people’s lives every single day.

Love you so much, Kris. Here’s to another year of laughter, adventures, costumes, and unforgettable memories. Happy Birthday! 🥂❤️🎉 by @titalavida

Back-to-back podium finishes for the Jade Monkey Howlers! 🥇🥈

Gold in Tournament #1. Silver in Tournament #2 after a heartbreaking DreamBreaker that came down to 21-19. Sometimes the smallest margins make the biggest memories.

We’re still sitting at the top but we’re far from satisfied. This team fights for every point, backs each other every match, and we’re excited to keep growing with the addition of two young superstars, Jake Da Costa and Gabby Sabeeney.

The hunt continues. 💪🥇 taken in Trinidad and Tobago by @titalavida

⚠️ Vulnerability incoming…

Last week I won 3 gold medals in 3 tournaments. 🥇🥇🥇

I thought I’d feel on top of the world.

Instead… I felt empty.

That feels strange to admit because I know so many people would love to be in that position. I am incredibly grateful, and I’m proud of what I accomplished. But once the adrenaline wore off and the excitement settled, I was left wondering, “Why don’t I feel happier?”

I realized something: we spend so much of our lives chasing the next goal. Train. Compete. Stress. Repeat. Then you finally get there… and your brain immediately asks, “Okay… what’s next?”

The truth is, medals don’t magically fix stress, grief, burnout, or the weight you’ve been carrying. They don’t suddenly make you feel whole. Sometimes, when the noise dies down, you’re just left sitting with yourself.

And yes… my laundry was still waiting for me. 😂

I’m sharing this because I have a feeling I’m not the only one who’s ever reached a goal they worked so hard for, only to feel a little lost afterward.

Maybe the lesson for me isn’t to stop chasing big dreams. I love competing, and I always will. Maybe it’s to stop expecting the finish line to give me something only I can give myself.

If you’ve ever felt this way after accomplishing something big, I’d genuinely love to hear your story. ❤️ taken in Trinidad and Tobago by @titalavida
