The future of our world is deeply rooted in how we view and treat care ecosystems. We’re not claiming to solve the entirety of the current care crisis we’re in, but we are surely doing our best to make it better. Enter titi 🧑‍🧑‍🧒

When our daughter was born 3 months early, our journey to feeling safe and secure was long, hard and filled with emotion. If it weren’t for my best friend Chelsea, our kids’ titi, who stepped in to support us during a harrowing 2 month NICU stay, we’re unsure where we’d be as a family. From her support, titi was born. Today, Zach and me are thrilled to share, almost 2 years after having this idea, the BETA launch of our titi app!

titi is a revolutionary platform designed to connect families with compatible caregivers and enriching local resources, this is the care ecosystem reimagined for the world we live in today.

Whether you’re a family looking for care or a caregiver (nanny, babysitter, doula), we’d love for you to pilot titi! We are still very much in the early stages building the first gen and constantly working to improve and expand our features but it’s a great start and your feedback is incredibly valuable to us!

This is for anyone who has ever felt the heartbreak of dreams deferred 💛

I shared a @titiknows newsletter for the first time in over a month. I pushed through so much shame and internal embarrassment to finally sit and write to my early adopters who likely didn’t notice my silence but of course, it had been eating at me daily.

I have since published this super vulnerable newsletter on our substack which I also put on hold despite the 4-5 amazing articles I have in the bank. My ramblings on shame, joy, resilience and never giving up on the big picture. Here’s an excerpt:

“As I am writing this newsletter, eyes heavy, the comforting sound of early Housewives of New York plays in my left ear. My right ear is free, reserved for hearing the satisfying beep of a finished load of laundry. I’m coming off a career high that I haven’t felt in years, possibly ever.…but I’m a working mom. I’m not allowed to feel joy without a side of guilt.”

I’ve been working. I missed my daughter’s first recital and canceled a huge event I created for moms. It sucks but it’s reality.

The goal is to do titi forever but right now, I can only do what I can do. And that’s ok. Writing this was freeing. The tests were streaming!! If you’ve had to pivot away from something you love to keep your family functioning, this I hope this article brings you peace.

I think a lot about what it means to be a female founder. To be an entrepreneur and a business owner. To be a breadwinner and a mom. To see accolades and victory laps from founders who have the kind of resources I hope to build for my kids.

What would I be able to contribute with the right access and money?

we aren’t going anywhere. We’re just running a marathon not a sprint. Cross country even. And I’m the only pacer.

Working on ending this.

She won’t remember but I will.

We’re moms. We’re constantly trying to fit a circle into a square for at least 5 people/things at once 😮‍💨

Big pictures need a large canvas and a detailed yet brave eye. We’ve got this.

Surrounded by love makes it easier.

We’ve been quiet around here but it doesn’t mean we’re not working! The titi app is undergoing a little makeover as we prepare to welcome in our next beta group. In the meantime: let’s celebrate SUMMER ☀️

On June 25th, we’re hosting an incredible night of movement at @forward__space in SoHo. We’re so excited to have mommies, DJs & singer/songwriters @ninaskyofficial join us as our DJs for the night alongside the incredible @kristinsudeikisdance, choreographer and founder of Forward__Space!

Join us after work and momming and being generally amazing for an evening of somatic dance, flowers, drinks, delicious bites and good, good company!

FORWARD_Space is where dance meets cardio meets meditation and honestly, therapy. It’s truly a special experience.

This night is for moms, aunties, grammies, anyone who shows up and supports their people.

What do moms REALLY want for Mother’s Day?

We asked a few members of our titi community and the answers were different but the same. Moms are tired and they need support, time alone and the taste of freedom.

My hope for mothers in America is for policy reform because really? There should be support for families July into our systems. For mothers around the world, I wish for them a supportive partner/village that can unlock their path to agency of self because raising humans takes so much out of parents. But the automatic connection between mothers and their children is a recipe for moms being the hold all. It’s up to the partners and the village to ensure mom has some time to feel human so she can raise these humans. The future depends on it, people!!

I am absolutely in love with @framebridge!! No, I was not paid for this, I really want to share this moment ☺️

A few weeks ago, I was invited to celebrate the 12th anniversary of @mothermag at @framebridge in the West Village. @katiehintzzambrano and her team at mother mag have been a supporter of me as a mom and a businesswoman since Dakota was a baby, so I had to clear my schedule and make sure I was able to attend. I asked my friend @aislinn.forbes , who is a brilliant painter and interior designer, to accompany me down to Framebridge in the West Village for this fabulous evening dedicated to motherhood.

We were given the opportunity to bring one keepsake along with us to be framed, so I brought our very first full family photo shot by the wonderful and talented @c.fenimore. This photo is so meaningful as it’s in front of our first home and Stazie had only been home from the NICU for maybe two weeks? I don’t even think she weighed 8 pounds yet. We have all come so far.

This photo will be the anchor of our photo wall and I am just sooooo excited.

I am really impressed by the care and intentionality taken by the Framebridge team. Their boutiques are truly a designers wonderland. They have endless frame molds and custom mattes to choose from like this sea foam green silk matte.

Your sitter is not your friend. This is a hard pill to swallow for a lot of parents.

We’ve been surveying families about how they found the perfect sitter or nanny and the biggest tip that stood out was: “I didn’t hire the people I liked talking to.” Or “Don’t hire them because you like them.” And my favorite: “DO NOT hire off vibes!”

We’ve all been guilty of blurring the lines between professional and personal. But when it comes to our kids and family stability, it’s important to create guardrails around how you communicate and create relationship patterns. Have a bond yes but you’re not really supposed to be friends. Is this too harsh?
