Huge thanks to @lauraozyilmaz and @sayatozyilmaz for supporting wine education within our two amazing establishments, @dalidasf & @mariaisabelsf_ We had an amazing time in Napa Valley this year for our 3rd Annual Trip. Thank you a million times over to both @bondwinery @matthiasson_wine for making us feel like kings & queens for the day. We were blown away by your hospitality, attention to detail and genuine love for what you do. Because our little team keeps growing, this year was especially challenging, as all staff was required to pass an exam and spiel obscure wine varietals from our lists in order to attend. So proud and honored to be able to work next to these wonderful humans. I couldn’t ask for a better team! đŸ©· Love and admire you all!! by @titsmcgie
Quick trip last weekend to see my girls, Mira & Marilyn. Fresh ink. Good eats. Better art. Hella hot. Sunday in the Cemetery. Highway 5 there. PCH & 101 back. Solvang stop & score (pink Murano lamp). California sunsets 10/10. by @titsmcgie
A little recognition for two people who spend a lot of time thinking about what goes in your glass. Our Wine Director @titsmcgie received @wine_spectator’s 2026 Award of Excellence, and @evanthebartender was honored with the @michelinguide Exceptional Cocktails Award. Jerry has built a wine list that gives guests plenty to discover, while Evan continues to explore Mexican spirits and flavors in ways that feel unexpected. We’re incredibly proud to see their work recognized. by @titsmcgie
A new Greek red just landed on the by-the-glass list. @titsmcgie brought in the 2021 Kefallinos Avgoustiatis from Zakynthos, made from a rare variety native to the Ionian Islands. Not one you see often, which is reason enough to get acquainted. Now pouring. #wine #bytheglass #greekwine #sommelier #dalidasf by @titsmcgie
Maria Isabel is one of @bonappetitmag’s Best New Restaurants of 2026. There are a lot of things we hoped this restaurant could become when we opened its doors. A place where Chef @lauraozyilmaz’s memories of Mexico could live alongside the ingredients and seasons of California. A place to cook food that feels deeply personal without being bound by what has come before. A place named for two women in her family, built with our own family of cooks, servers, farmers, makers, and friends around us. To be recognized by Bon AppĂ©tit this early in our story means more than we can easily put into words. Thank you to our team, who gives so much of themselves to this restaurant every day, and to everyone who has sat at our tables, told a friend about us, come back for another dinner, or simply been curious about what we’re doing here. We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. And we still feel like we’re just getting started. Thank you, @bonappetitmag. We’re honored to be part of the class of 2026. by @titsmcgie

A summer told through three very different cellars. Jill and Steve Matthiasson came down from @matthiasson_wine with rare bottles to share. @blimeyitscole brought us into the cool, coastal world of @madsonwines and the Santa Cruz Mountains. Ernst Storm of @stormwines closed out the series with his Santa Barbara wines and the first pours of our new house Pinot Noir, made by Ernst especially for Dalida with fruit from the Sta. Rita Hills. None of it happens without Jerry. A huge thank you to our Wine Director, @titsmgie, who put so much thought, work, and genuine enthusiasm into bringing this series together. If you’ve ever talked wine with Jerry, you know what makes him so good at what he does. The knowledge is deep, but the conversation is easy. Thank you Jerry, and thank you to everyone who came to drink and eat with us. #winedinner #winepairing #winelist #sanfranciscoeats #bayareafoodie by @titsmcgie
This is how every night starts before the first guest walks in. The part you don’t see, but hopefully feel. At line-up, we talk through the details that shape service. Menu changes, new additions to the wine list, special occasions, and anything the team needs to know before the night begins. by @titsmcgie

This Pride Month, we’re celebrating Jerry McGie, CMS Certified Sommelier and Wine Director at Dalida & Maria Isabel Restaurants in San Francisco. Jerry’s approach to wine education is refreshingly real: certifications matter, but the most valuable learning happens outside the classroom. Work a harvest. Befriend a winemaker. Walk into a wildly obscure wine bar and order something you’ve never heard of. And if you really want to understand a wine, try pairing it with a song. On Dolly Parton’s 80th birthday, Jerry paired “Jolene” with a 2018 Chateau Musar from Lebanon — big, gritty, soulful, and unforgettable. Just like Dolly. We love spotlighting professionals who forge their own path and bring creativity and joy to this industry. Jerry is exactly that. Follow Jerry on Instagram @titsmcgie and find him pouring something unexpected at Dalida or Maria Isabel. 📾 Photo credit: Isabel Baer @izbaer 🔗 Link in bio to learn more about GWEF scholarships and how we’re working to make the wine world more inclusive. #PrideMonth #GWEFSpotlight #WineEducation #SommelierLife #LGBTQIA by @titsmcgie
Summer solstice, Santa Cruz wines, and a table full of your favorite dishes. For the second dinner in our Summer Winemaker Series, we’re thrilled to welcome @blimeyitscole, winemaker and founder of @madsonwines on June 22. Since 2016, Cole has been making brilliant, fresh wines from Santa Cruz. We’ll begin at 6:30 pm with canapĂ©s on our scenic patio and a toast to the solstice, then move into the main dining room for an intimate 5-course food and wine pairing created especially for the evening. Expect bright, coastal wines, a menu made for the moment, and a few absolute bangers along the way. Seats are limited. Reserve your spot through the link in bio via @opentable. #winedinner #winemaker #sommelier #winelist #winepairing by @titsmcgie
We have been included in the Michelin Guide California. A restaurant is only as good as the people who show up for it every day, and this recognition belongs to every cook, server, dishwasher, and manager who has cared about what we are doing here. It also belongs to the guests who took a chance on us early and have stayed with us. We are honored and we are grateful. #michelinguide #michelin #michelinguidecaalifornia by @titsmcgie
