Our paths part here old friend... 🥲

I'm filled with gratitude for your service, protection, and the wisdom you've imparted over the years🙏🏽. Never thought I would be anthropomorphizing a car on my Instagram feed but, here we are. 🚙😋 There is a strange ache in my heart that I never thought would exist for an inanimate object. We made it through the hyphy movement🕶, early 20s... "escapades" 👀, fenderbenders and suspension overhauls, recalls, electrical gremlins, several moves and relocations, camping, drive ins, and so much more. I was hard on you and you were hard on me right back 😅. So much of who I've been has included you. This is the end of and era I knew would come but couldn't quite prepare for 😔. If you have a memory (let's keep it PG13 lol), please drop it in the comments!

Hello everyone!

Some of you know me well, and some of you don't. But ANYONE who knows me at all, knows that I love my dad! For the past 5 years or so I have been dad's primary caregiver. We have had many health scares, surgeries, and hospital stays during this time. With the help and support of our combined communities (that's you!) we have been able to get through all that life has sent our way. As dad has made the humble transition from being a high functioning, independent older adult, to being in a position where he needs more care and support than ever before, there have been some things that went unnoticed and unaddressed in his home. Dad's home life is going through a major change. As we all know, change can be difficult and uncomfortable, but for older adults who thrive in routine it can be devastating. So, we're here once again to ask for your support to ease this transition. If your in a position to participate in the fundraiser linked below, THATS AMAZING, and so so appreciated! If you are not, we love you and we understand completely. We would love to accept your support in the form of a share! Or in a personal message of encouragement! Just leave it below in the comments! We want dad to know that he is loved and supported and most of all, not alone.

Over the next several weeks we will be working to rehab dad's home. Our goals are to make it clean and safe and more accessible for him. If you happen to know of any resources that would facilitate these goals please feel free to link them in the comments as well. Listed below are some of the major projects that are prioritized on our list.

-Garbage hauling/Dump runs
-ADA accessible entry ramp
-New flooring
-Fresh interior paint

Very early on last year I realized that so much of the JOY in my life comes from the time and experiences I get to share with my loved ones. Coming out of the fog of the pandemic I knew I wanted to do my best to cultivate joy, not just for me but for everyone, in honor of my birthday. For me the fastest way to joy is PLAY! A sincere THANK YOU to everyone who came out to play with me yesterday I HAD A BLAST. It made my heart smile to see all my people (young and not so young) try new things, learn, laugh, and let loose. Big ups to my inner circle for all their help and patience through the process. Couldn't have made it happen without you!
