Athaare, (y)our henna garden ❀ Athaare is a creative and community henna brand, called to build a different kind of henna space for us and for you. Here, henna is not just an accessory or a service, but a companion and a ritual that enriches our everyday moments. At Athaare, henna is an ode to and a means of creative, cultural and connective practice. Our name comes from the Arabic root “A-th-r,” which can mean ‘remnants/traces,” or ‘what is left behind.’ This name honors henna as a tradition that has been ‘left behind’ for us from those who came before across diasporas and reflects henna as a substance that ‘leaves behind’ rich pigment and vibrancy. We are inspired to reground ourselves and henna in whimsy, richness, intimacy, and communal traditions — and invite you to do the same. Inviting you to Athaare, (y)our henna garden 💌 by @tiyyahsmuse
