TJ Richards is preparing to enter his sophomore campaign with @ontariotechmbb.

The 6’5 point guard made an immediate impact as a freshman, producing efficiently across the board:

9.2 PPG | 3.7 RPG | 2.9 APG
46.9 FG% | 33.3 3PT%

TJ’s performance earned him Ontario Tech Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Year and Ontario Tech Male Freshman Athlete of the Year honours.

This past summer, he continued his development with the @scarboroughshootingstars of the @cebleague, learning from veteran guards and gaining firsthand experience within a professional organization.

TJ is a high-IQ, versatile guard who can create for himself and others, play off the ball and impact the game on both ends of the floor.

We’re excited for his upcoming season and strongly believe in his ability, continued production and potential to take another major step forward.

I caught up with Whitby’s own TJ Richards after an underrated rookie season at Ontario Tech.

The Ridgebacks guard averaged 9 PPG while playing 30+ minutes a night, earned Ontario Tech’s Male Athlete of the Year award, and spent this summer with the Scarborough Shooting Stars.

He’s expecting big things from himself and the Ridgebacks this season. 👀👀👀
