Sharing a recent training session where Zack did a one handed linked completion of this tricky lache line. It would be difficult to do with two hands/arms what he challenged himself to do with one!! I’m inspired by the way he continually challenges himself in his ninja training… The kid is a beast!

I’m proud of my 2 great kids and this post focused in on one of them… Zack!

I could not be more proud of Zack for his amazing ninja season this year! Across the two leagues he competes in, New England Ninja Association and National Ninja League, Zack has competed in 32 competitions, placing first in 20 of them!! (15 wins out of 26 NNL comps plus 5 wins out of 6 NENA comps!)

His outstanding performance resulted in him finishing #1 in total points IN THE COUNTRY in the National Ninja League. Most points both for his age group and across all age groups!!

He also finished in first place in total points for his teen age group in the New England Ninja Association league!

In the NNL, Zack did competitions in 5 separate NNL regions (New England, Northeast, Southeast, North Central and Rocky Mountain)… and he won competitions in all of them.

In his teen division, the competition is absolutely fierce with many many incredible competitors. Zack works extremely hard to continually advance his skills to higher levels. I’m very grateful for his coaches, teammates and training partners at Action Athletics (@ninjaction) and Strive Ninja Fitness (@striveninja)… and to all of the amazing athletes/competitions in the teen division for continually supporting, pushing and challenging Zack!

Way to go Zack! Love you buddy and I’m super proud of you!

Warning... gushing dad post...

My son @zack.keenan continues to always amaze me with things he can make look easy in the sport of Ninja warrior!

Wing Nuts are hard to do. Linking laches on wing nuts is even harder. Doing one-handed linking laches on wing nuts is bonkers. Check out the video for bonkers.

In the video he is going about 60 feet of linking obstacle laches, including the crazy one-handed wing but laches. He makes it look easy... but the complexity here is really off the charts! Super proud of him!

Something gave me an extra boost today... maybe it was my Centrum Silver old man vitamins😂. Or maybe it was my @taylormjohnson12 #teejgang shirt! Whatever it was... Last week I could do 4 reps on these peg bombs... and today I was able to grind out 5 up and down reps!

Inspired by my own kids, the kids I coach and the great Strive coaches... I’m trying to build up more obstacle endurance. I was happy to feel in control in this little series of obstacles!

If any parent needed another reason to save their kid’s school artwork, this is it...

While doing some New Year house organizing I came across this piece of art that Penny produced IN SCHOOL 5 years ago, when she was seven.

She titled it “flying butts”

Thank you Penny for doing things like this... I love you so much!!

Please feel free to praise the art work! by @tk.striveninja

Ok folks... considering I own a pretty cool ninja gym, I need to start making a better effort to train myself like I train and coach others! So I’m declaring a new #striveforbetter goal for myself to do just that!

This is a little Xmas eve accomplishment of making it through Strive’s “Santa and his flying squirrel” obstacle line. Plenty to improve upon, but I’ll take this little win!

Merry Xmas all! taken in Strive Ninja Fitness by @tk.striveninja

After qualifying for nationals last week, I was excited to run my second NNL comp of the season. I was also inspired after watching @zack.keenan and all the @striveninja kids crush it the day before in the kid waves. I timed out on the course but did manage to snag second place in the masters comp! great setup by the @real_life_ninja_academy_ct crew! Currently sitting in second place in early season nnl standings for the masters dudes! #mastersninja #nnl #striveforbetter #anw #fiftyhereicome #flyingsquirrel #bowtie #ninjadad #ninjatrainjng #trainharder taken in Windsor Ninja Academy by @tk.striveninja
