Corpse Grinder Cult Harvest Lord conversion Entry to the @grimdark_compendium black chalice rd.2Focus on this piece was create some interesting black armour with different colours inside, surface finish variation and rust in the most realistic way possible. Different glue techniques for skin and pipes, flayed skin and texture cape. I wanted to create fine grimdark, painting it to the best of my ability prior to any enamels, oils. Took a lot of photos / videos along the way, will make tutorials if anyones interested, think it was the right move not to do a black background, it killed the black armour otherwise. 🖤 #grimdark #necromunda #warhammer40000 #corpsegrinder #40k by @tkh_art

The Abolished PrinceA rogue chapter from a galaxy unknown. He was pushed out of the chapter for his unnatural need for death. Living through the Grimdark landscapes he succumbs to his blood lust and takes on a more demonic frame. Corroded steel claws where once where pristine fingertips were help maul his victims. Breathing apparatus gorged into flesh to enhance breathing for dark environments. He walks alone, through the dark depths lurking for his prey…….And there he is finally done. Really enjoyed this guy from start to finish. A little bit of kit bashing and building textures up prior to priming. That’s a big thing for me as I tend to rush and not think about the bigger picture. I can see a huge difference in taking the time to do these little extra things tho. Corpse Grinder Cult Harvest Lord ConversionHere is my entry to gdc black chalice large category. I have taken nice photos on the new camera set up for you to feast on thanks to @bene_crafts For me this piece was all about convincing the eye that every surface could exist in the real world, surface finish variation and the contrast of materials next to each other some matte, some satin and some gloss, mottling, adding real physical texture to the hood, vein work via the super glue method around his chest @dark_ages_workshop scratches/texture and a range of different colours into what seems like “black armour” encapsulated tubes going into the back of his head via the pva glue technique @pictornox Lately I’ve also been enjoying including dainty additions to the base or diorama to add to silhouette. The cape was made from wire, cigarette paper & cheesecloth to give layers of variation & madness inspired by @carlos_bilis Photography and conversion work is often looked when it comes to these competitions and I wanted to step it up to create some atmospheric images, well lit, no hiding behind ultra dark images. I made em extra sloppy for yous’ 🥣Deep beneath the Crimson Grove, the Hierophant walks her endless circuit between the cells. Corpse Grinder Cult Harvest Lord / Lord Of Skin & Sinew as truly grim as these cults are on the surface, there may be more to them than a lot of people would like to admit, which gives cause for concern of an even greater magnitude that could, if left to fester, could doom the whole hive to chaos. Each cult is ruled over by a Harvest Lord; an insane demagogue that feeds his followers the meat of their fellow man alongside promises of freedom and power. But far from being the leader of just another subversive cult, these Harvest Lords and their followers are rumoured to worship a powerful Daemon known as the Lord of Skin and Sinew. Having only recently been known to have emerged in Hive Arcos, this entity may have already walked the surface of Necromunda in the past, as ancient texts and icons speak of its existence. Though, to this day, no one is sure if it's truly the God of Blood’s gaze that causes the cannibalistic cravings of these people, or if it’s the craving call for the flesh that calls the gaze of the Blood God to them. Harbringer of Rot @rescale_miniatures Another big project, this time for my submission to the @grimdark_compendium Black Chalice Round 2. While painting, I have a vision of giving him a slimy look, visible in the exposed areas of his body. I decided to slightly modify him by adding chains attached to his body, a staff, skulls hanging from his horns, and gauze, which I applied to his cloak, creating an interesting texture. To complete the look, I added two spiders. The remade servitors from @bestiarum.games seemed perfect for this. For the base, I decided to modify the original one. So, I cut out the area he stands on and added some volume, creating something resembling a swamp with skulls. I used @vallejocolors paints for painting, finishing everything off with a thin layer of Decrepith Fillth and Goons Grime from @grimdark_compendium .
