For years, I was disciplined in everything that didn’t matter. I could run marathons, build businesses, crush goals… but I was too exhausted to be present for moments like this. I thought discipline meant sacrificing time with my kids now so I can provide for them later. That’s a lie! Being disciplined God’s way does not require you to choose between your calling and your family. It allows you to build your life around what God values……Faith, Family, Fitness, Finance, Field, Friends and Fun. When your discipline is rooted in your values, moments like this aren’t interruptions. They’re the fruit! For years, I was the girl who kept saying…“One day.”One day I’d lose the weight and take better care of myself.I started every year saying I was gonna spend more time with God and my family. I’m not judging you friend but I want you to stop it! 😂We get on our knees and we really be asking God to calm the storm and bring peace into our life, and he hears you! He even told you in his Word what to do and we will skip right over that part .Hebrews 12:11 says discipline produces a harvest of righteousness and peace. Discipline is the daily deposit that builds your peace account. So when you’re praying for peace and it’s not showing up the question is not why is God not answering me. Friend, we need to talk about why you’re always tired.I’m talking about tired before the day even gets started good. As soon as your eyes open you are already behind and not looking forward to the day you are about to have. The kind of tired that sleep can’t fix! That kind of tired is really just a symptom of an overdrawn peace account. Every January. Every Monday. This time is going to be different. And I know you mean it every single time because I used to do the same thing. But here is what I finally figured out. The reason it kept not working had nothing to do with how bad I wanted it. It was because I kept trying to build new habits inside the same old structure that was never set up for me in the first place. Your schedule is like soil and if your values do not have a real home in your week the new habit just will not survive no matter how motivated you are. You do not need more willpower, you just need a better structure. That is literally what the Fruitful Calendar is built to do. You will move your whole day around for their doctor's appointment because their health is not something you just let slide. But your prayer time, your rest, the time you set aside for what God put on your heart somehow is always the first thing that goes when something comes up. And we do not even notice we are doing it because it feels like we are just being responsible. But here is what I want you to really think about. Every time you cancel on yourself you are teaching yourself that you do not matter enough to keep your own commitments. And that is just not true. You matter. Your time with God matters. Your rest matters. Your growth matters. Start treating your own appointments like they are just as important as theirs because they are.
