It is wIth profound sorrow that we announce the passing of John Morris, Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Hamilton General Hospital.

With his family at his side, John fought heroically, but his tired body and weakened heart could no longer sustain him.

John was born in Port Rowan, Ontario, son of Ben and Audrey Morris. He is survived by his wife, Bruna (nee Gardonio) Morris and their three children Tiffany (Matthew Ferguson), Jason, (Theresa MacIntyre) and Jennifer (Jason McCullough), and his grandchildren Audrey, Linden, Camryn, Rylee and Audrey.

John was a dear brother to Carolyn, Hugh (Katherine MacLean), Ben (Jan Robertson) and Bart (Donna Parker), and a loving uncle to all his nieces, nephews, and extended family.

John is also survived by his Arizona family, partner Carol Weinstein Smith, and children Kyle Kubaska, Kimberly Kubaska Liss, and Amie Kubaska Neilson.

John loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a life long Toronto Maple Leafs fan, a dedicated coach and an avid card player. He was a generous man, always ready to listen if you called or wanted to have a chat on the porch over a beer.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire medical team who’s expertise and kindness were instrumental in providing John and his family comfort during the final stages of his life.

There will be a Celebration of Life for John on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton. Flowers and/or contributions to Hamilton General Hospital or Norfolk County Hospital are welcome.
