There is something so powerful about being surrounded by Black excellence! It was both humbling and honoring to be in a room filled with leaders who look like me and are committed to making a difference.

I’m grateful to now be an official member of the Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators (HAABSE) and thankful to connect with incredible educators! ❤️

A few reminders that stayed with me:

✨ When you say yes to something, you’re saying no to something else.
✨ A “no” just means not yet.
✨ Be mindful of what you consume.
✨Stop shrinking yourself to make others feel comfortable.
✨ Never mute your greatness to appease people. Those who expect it will be offended at any volume. by @tlanea__

☑️ Survived my first week as Summer School Principal!
1. Forgot my umbrella for 1st day car duty & got sunburned ☀️
2. Saw my first little trouble maker lol
3. Parent conferences 📱
4. Handed out checklists like they were prizes 📋🤗
5. Learned that every question somehow ends with, “Go ask the principal.”

Week 2, let’s go! ❤️ by @tlanea__

33 years of life… and I’m nothing but grateful.

God, thank You for every blessing, every trial, and every heartbreak—each one shaped me into who I am today.

To everyone who pray with me, stand by me, and push me to grow—thank you for showing me real love.

I’m stepping into 33 with deeper faith, a stronger spirit, and a light I refuse to dim.

Growing, glowing, and walking in purpose. 🤍✨ by @tlanea__

March changed me—not because I was perfect, but because God met me in every moment - the good and the bad.

I’m choosing to walk in His light and step into His promises, carrying the wisdom He’s been teaching me—living it out daily.

“You, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head.” (Psalm 3) 🤍

Thank You, Lord, for my growth, for Your protection over me, my sons, my loved ones, and my sisters who are choosing to walk in Christ with me. Keep me steady as I step into April.

If you’re reading this—walk in His light. He is the way. ✨
