@riebel.rohrbach and I chose 5 images from my personal archive that resonated with the exhibition’s curatorial idea: „The exhibition brings together artistic perspectives that view water as a medium of memory, emotion, and change. The crying rivers symbolize loss and responsibility, but also new beginnings and the possibility of renewal.“

SAVE THE DATE!

I’m thrilled to announce my upcoming solo show ST. ELMO’S FIRE!

OPENING Friday, Sept 19th: 6-10 p.m.

Sat 20th & Sun 21st: open from 12 p.m.-6 p.m.

The show will take place in the beautiful dungeons of GIDAK in Berlin-Mitte, also known as GLUE.

ST. ELMO’S FIRE brings together work from the last two years - a period that is characterised by my further slippage into the uncertain waters of superstition. The work continues to deal with themes of apocalypse, vertigo and surrender, focalised through the perspective of an anonymous sailor who wishes he’d stayed in bed that day. If ships crashing into each other at the end of the world is your kind of thing, I strongly suggest you come join me for a drink on the 19th of September!  The title refers to the blue, luminous plasma that is observed by sailors during thunderstorms or volcanic eruptions, emanating from the ship’s masts. The phenomenon has been explained as both a good and bad omen over the centuries, instilling mortal fear or exhilarating joy in those to whom it chooses to appear. ST. ELMO’S FIRE is the guiding angel in all of these paintings, a sign from the heavens that you’re saved or doomed, but most likely doomed.

NEW RELEASE! ABC Honeymoon 🍯 🌙

A true Dinamo-style monospaced Script typeface for all our friends and lovers. Containing romantic features such as single-width uppercase alternates, extravagant swashes, and other celebratory alternates.
 For the campaign, Ricarda literally tattooed heartbreak lyrics set in Honeymoon onto ten bodies, making this the first typeface campaign I can think of that will last a few lifetimes </3

On display: digitized designs by @my.amd fashion and management students. The titlepic shows an insane handmade headpiece by munich based talent @esavokshi The piece fell apart the evening before the shoot and she had to start all over — but it was worth it!

The Digital Self workshop was lead by @charlottewiedemann and @vivianehausstein and took place at AMD Berlin @nicole_hardt

Thank you @robert.janes for giving birth to our website and immortalising the students work in the clouds… literally.

A glimpse of our* full-on/fully-digital research design workshop with Burg-Halle this summer! *Myself & @eloise.c.harris

Adjusting to home study, and inspired by an exciting shift we saw in our social media feeds, our dedicated participants (off-campus & isolated) created a valuable series of individual studies as acts of shared education.

Dear students, thank you for pushing through with your projects, and persevering through the semester. These are tough times, and you have all proven your resilience — triumphing over rules like “Your digital-flyer must contain all of your research in one image” and “it must open at 300%” 🤭.
