What an honor to attend Threads of Service™ presented by @lfw.arizona , an unforgettable evening where military history, fashion, service, and legacy came together.

I’m incredibly proud of Rosa Cardenas for bringing such a powerful and meaningful vision to life. From honoring our veterans and Living Legends™ to showcasing the creativity of emerging designers through Operation: Reclaimed Valor™, every detail told a story of courage, sacrifice, resilience, and community.

I also got to see one of my favorite designers, @throneofgraceclothing . Anytime I see they are part of an event, I know I can expect greatness, creativity, and truly inspiring pieces. I was also introduced to new brands, including @madmanlosangeles and @bunnyygutz . I loved experiencing their unique visions and seeing what they brought to the runway.

Congratulations, Rosa! Your hard work, leadership, and heart were evident throughout the entire experience. ❤️

We celebrated World Drowning Prevention Day the best way we know how…by bringing our community together to learn, connect, and make waves.

Our 1st Annual Make Waves Walk + Water Safety Festival was more than just a walk. It was an afternoon dedicated to empowering families with life-saving knowledge.

Together, families:
🛟 Learned how to properly fit a life jacket.
🫀 Practiced hands-only CPR at our Safety Hero Station.
🚒 Met members of the United Black Firefighters of Arizona
🎯 Tested their skills through interactive SWYM SMART™ activities
✍🏾 Took the drowning prevention pledge.
💦 Enjoyed the splash pad, music, giveaways, local vendors, and more

Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, partners, speakers, and every person who spent their afternoon with us.

This was only Year One. 🌊💙

Happy Father’s Day from @seedsproject16 🌱

The Seeds Project was created to highlight the many variations of what fatherhood looks like in Black and Brown communities.

Through every story shared, we were reminded that fatherhood is not defined by one experience. It is shown through love, sacrifice, guidance, presence, resilience, and commitment.

Today, we celebrate the fathers, father figures, mentors, grandfathers, and community leaders who continue planting seeds that will impact generations to come.

Special shoutout to the founder, @umberto.luk , for creating a platform that honors and amplifies these important stories.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures. Your impact matters. 💚🌱

Last night? Whew. 🖤✨

All we can say is… we hope @kennedyryan1 releases a book every single year because WOW.

Last year, we gathered for This Could Be Us, the final chapter of the Skyland series, and the love in the room was unforgettable. But this year? Baby… we took it ALL the way up for the Score release party. This wasn’t just an event. This was a full Lit Twis’t experience.

From the Renaissance-inspired red carpet moment to the live saxophone, jazz music, custom cookies @woodsandwhisk , signed books, thoughtful gifts from Kennedy Ryan and her incredible team, matchboxes, stickers, tote-making stations, custom charms, laughter, conversations, sisterhood, style, and pure Black & Brown girl joy in the room… every detail mattered. Every detail was intentional.

A huge thank you to the amazing ladies of @desertuplands for creating such a beautiful interactive experience with the tote customization station. Thank you to our wonderful sponsors at @medasecocktails , our incredible photographers and videographers who captured every magical moment, and our musician of the night who truly set the tone and transformed the atmosphere.

And most importantly… thank you to our Lit Society. Thank you for showing up, showing OUT, dressing the part, embracing the theme, supporting Black authors, supporting community, and reminding us exactly why we do this. This is what we mean when we say: it’s not just an event… it’s a Lit Twis’t experience. ✨

And trust us… this is only the kickoff post. We have SO many beautiful moments to share from last night. Stay tuned because the recap content is about to feed the timeline real bad. 🎷📚🖤

Until next time…

Popped into the Business + Creator Mixer tonight and even though I was in and out, I’m glad I came. 🤝✨

Big shoutout to @localbuzz.co for intentionally creating spaces that truly support, connect, and pour back into local business owners and creators across the Valley.
This is what networking is about!
It’s community, collaboration, and making sure people and brands are seen. 🌵 (and if you don’t know @infinite.tone you need too!)

Met some great people, had good conversations, and left inspired.
