Not the ending I hoped for, but a journey I’m really grateful for. Over the past few days I’ve had the chance to meet so many incredible student leaders, hear amazing ideas, and learn more about leadership than I ever expected. Every conversation reminded me just how powerful our voices can be. Even though I didn’t walk away with the title, I’m leaving with something much more greater. friendships, lessons, and experiences that mean so much. Thank you to everyone who supported me, believed in me, and encouraged me along the way, it truly meant the world.

I want to say a big thank you to my council. Y’all are the reason I’m here in the first place. From the very beginning, you pushed me to be better and supported me every step of the way. There’s no way I could have done this without you. Each one of you played a part in making this campaign the best it could be, and I’m so grateful for all the time, effort, and energy you put into it. I’m proud of what we built together, and I’m thankful to have a team like y’all behind me.

To the future officers, y’all are going to do amazing things. Your passion to lead and serve others is so clear, and it’s something that won’t go unnoticed. I’m proud of each and every one of you and the dedication you bring to this organization. I know you’re going to work hard, support each other, and continue making a difference for students across the state. SCASC is in great hands with y’all, and I can’t wait to see everything you guys accomplish.

To me leadership has never just been about a position for me. It’s about serving others, making an impact, and continuing to show up. This experience only motivated me more. If anything, this journey just reminded me why I started in the first place. This may not have been the ending I imagined, but it’s just the end of this chapter, not the end of my story. #scasc #leadership #onlybeginning by @tlominack09
