This time last week, I was just getting home from attending the Playford Writers' Group through the Playford Library . Always inspiring to be around other writers. This time, the topic was 'show don't tell' and it pushed me to write the beginning of an alien romance story that has been nagging me for a few months. by @tlwhalan

In April, my favourite read was from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by @sarahjmaas . I'm not someone who re-reads books very often, so the fact I did with this series suggests how much I enjoy the books. It was probably timely with more books in the series being recently announced. by @tlwhalan

Had a good writing day today! About to move into a short story I'm working on, but I've stopped working on 'Who's Counting?' (book 6 and the final book of my young adult apocalyptic survivalist series, Earthside) for today. Brain fried!

(My last word count update seems to have been a little off. I definitely wrote more than a thousand words today! Chip chip chip.) by @tlwhalan

Oops! I did a terrible job providing updates on the awesome @Romance Writers of Australia conference I attended last month! This is the only photo I have of myself there. I have come home with a massive to do list for all things authorly. Here I am with some of the South Australian cohort. by @tlwhalan

I am still here, chipping away at 'Who's Counting?', the sixth book in the Earthside series. Over halfway through now! by @tlwhalan
