On today’s #arttuesdays we shine the spotlight on @tlynchart. Born in New York and based in the DMV, Tamani Lynch is an Afro-Latina artist of Panamanian heritage who uses portraiture to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard. Her work blends vibrant color, cultural symbolism, and personal narrative to explore themes of identity, heritage, faith, and community. Through her paintings, Lynch aims to preserve memories, spark conversation, and celebrate the richness of the human experience. Follow @aurnonline for more Black Artist spotlight, every Tuesday

✨ Project Spotlight: Tiffany the Hair-oic ✨

I’m honored to be illustrating Tiffany the Hair-oic by author @vanessawsnyder , a heartfelt children’s book centered around a young girl living with alopecia.

For many children, hair loss can be an emotional and isolating experience, especially in a world that often associates beauty with appearance. Through Tiffany’s journey, Vanessa Snyder beautifully reminds readers that confidence, self-worth, and inner strength are not defined by hair, but by the courage to embrace who you are.

As an illustrator, it is a privilege to help bring this important story to life. Representation matters, and every child deserves to see themselves reflected in the books they read.

I hope this book helps spark conversations about self-acceptance, empathy, and resilience while encouraging children to recognize the beauty that already exists within them.

💛 I can’t wait to share more from this project soon.

“Mola Sisters “
30x40 Unstretched Canvas , Acrylic , Gold Acrylic Paint

Two daughters. One heritage🇵🇦. This painting was inspired by the beauty and tradition of Panamanian culture through the elegance of the pollera and traditional tembleques worn with pride for generations.

The hummingbird placed between them symbolizes connection, spirit, and cultural identity while the vibrant Mola patterns draw inspiration from the rich artistry and color deeply rooted in Latin and Afro-Caribbean traditions.

I wanted this piece to feel like legacy, sisterhood, and
tradition all existing in one moment.💕🙏🙌🏼
